Nice one from last night.
Got out and fished a farm pond for a couple hours last night. This certain pond has a lot of vegetation around the edge, making it very hard to land fish. I ended up going into the water to get this one, good thing it was only about knee deep. 20" Sunset over the pond

My new boat
I have the exact same boat. Works really well for small lakes and ponds. A big factor with it is wind. It doesn't take much wind to really move the boat around. Also if your fishing two people out of it can be a pain. Especially if there's any wind at all. But it's great for just fishing one person. I use my leg to bump steer my trolling motor, so it has close to the same affect as a foot controlled motor.

Here's a few bass from this summer. Haven't got to get out much, but hopefully my fishing time will increase and my work time decrease.

What is your favorite "Bite"
I like all bites. But my favorite is gonna have to go to a topwater bite. Can't beat watching a big ol' bass explode on a buzzbait.

Plastic boats: Bass Hunter vs. Pelican ??
I have a Sun Dolphin Sportsman that I use on small ponds and lakes around here. Works great and is pretty light.

What is the magnetic braking system?
What exactly is a magnetic braking system on a baitcasting reel? What purpose does it serve and how would one go about adjusting it? I remember seeing something about it on a fishing show and had no clue what they where talking about. At first I thought they were talking about the tension knob you adjust for the weight of the lure your casting, but after watching the show more, it sounds like they are talking about something different.

Rain gear
Personally I use non-insulated Cabela's Guide Wear. I went with non-insulated so I didn't get as hot when I used it during the summer. Remember, you can always wear layers under them.

Fast Tournament Boats...
My dream boat is a skeeter, I plan on buying one when I get out of college. Fished out of one for two days and absolutely loved the boat, had a great layout, was comfortable to fish out of, and it had alot of get up and go in her too.

Is this a good deal?
I got him to go down to $60 and I took the deal. Reel is in good shape, and looks like it hasn't been used much. I've played around with the citica's at BPS a couple times, but for some reason that just don't seem to feel as good as the curados. Thanks for the help guys!

Is this a good deal?
I found a Shimano Curado CU-201B5 in left hand model, which is how I prefer baitcasting reels. The guy said it has seen very little use, just a few scratches and stuff on it. He's asking $70 for it. Is this a good deal?

Best Baitcastin Rod/Reel Combo for the $
I'm wanting to get a new baitcasting combo before spring fishing gets going. My price range is anything around $150 give or take $20 or so. I want one thats fairly versatile that I can use for just about anything from working plastics to throwing cranks. What do you guys reccomend? Also what length and action for the rod, and gear ratio for the reel. Thanks guys.

What did you catch your PB on?
My longest LMB was caught on a chartruse willow blade Booyah spinnerbait, she went at 21.5 inches long. My heaviest LMB was caught on a pumpkin seed Senko, rigged weightless. She weighed in at 5.8 lbs and was 20 1/4 inches long.

Wildlife Creations Replicas?
I've heard good things about King Sailfish Replica Mounts. Each mount is individually air-brushed to match the photo you send with them. But, I haven't used them myself either, this is just hearsay.

Throwing buzzbaits
Buzzbaits are my favorite lures to use out of any in my tackle box. I like to give each pocket and cover at least 2 casts or more if it's if really good cover. Also, try using a trailer-hook, it will increase your hook ups alot. And also have a senko rigged and ready to go for those short strikes, cast it right to where the strike was and you will more often than not catch that bass.
