  1. Looks good! I really like the recessed hinges for the storage compartments.

  4. This question is along the same lines. If the pond in question is a fire pond (attachment for a engine to hook up to) are these still privately owned ponds? I still plan on asking the owner of the land next to the pond since I will more then likely cross his property from time to time. I am curious is there are private owners of these types of ponds or are they owned by the town? Thanks.
  5. Whenever someone gets to the "top" whether it be Charlie Moore or Ike there will always be people sitting around hating on them. There is a reason Ike is a pro fisherman and Charlie has his own TV show... Not defending anyone, just merely observing.
  6. Was there last night. Stocked up on power pro line (150yards for $9). Almost all line was on sale. I also wanted to buy last years style Quantum Energy PT Burner model for $80 but they had no left handed reels left. Tons of great stuff is on sale. They had senkos 2 packs for $10 bucks. Cranks 2 for $5. I may go back tonight to see what I missed.
  7. Welcome to the boards. I have a few friends living out in Mansfield. Unfortuantly I live at the other end of the state. Spring is right around the corner here, can't wait.
  8. I would like to buy a pedestal seat/ lean seat for the front deck on my boat but I am having trouble choosing what pedestal to get. I have mainly been looking on BPS.com but a lot of them there have poor reviews. I am not sure I can really trust these or not. I am a pretty big guy (6'5 and 240 lbs) so I am looking for something that can support a heavier person but also raise up a little higher. If possible I would like to stay around $120 for the seat and pedestal but I wouldn't mind spending a little more for something of better quality. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
  9. Great fish! Congrats.

  11. Thanks guys. Wiring is all set. The only thing left for me to do it give it a good cleaning and to get it wet!
  12. I find even between different stores in the same area, what they stock can really vary. I have another Dick's about 25 minutes away and they have no where near the amount of stuff the other one has.
  13. I had a stress fracture in my spine during high school from running. After I graduated college I went into construction for awhile while keeping my eyes open for another job. I started having really bad back pain at 23 years old. I tried making an effort to only lift with my legs. I got inserts for my boots and stopped sitting on my wallet while driving in my car which I think helped quite a bit. Good luck with the live bait!

  16. I bought myself a spro last year and fished with it for about 3 weeks before it got snagged in some really thick off-shore junk. I only caught 3 fish on it. I had 65 lb braid as well. I lacked a true "frog rod" but my old old MH Ugly stick worked ok. My only gripe with the spro was after the second fish the frog stretched out around where the hooks enter the body and I was having to empty it of water every cast or 2. Is this typical? For $8 I would expect more then 2 fish before that happens. I bought myself 2 packs of rage tail toads to begin this year. Havent used them but am pretty excited to try.
  17. Thanks for the help. I missed a bunch of strikes on spinner and buzz baits last year and decided it was time to get some trailer hooks. Nothing like watching your buzz bait get blasted by a bass right on the surface, gets the heart beating fast every time.
  18. Can't help with your stability question as I haven't fished out of a decked jon. Do you have any pictures of your boat? Sound like you have set yourself up with a nice bass rig.
  19. I was very impressed with the condition of the hull. After looking at a few other boats made around the same time this was by far the cleanest. I don't think I could have done much better for the price either. Now it just needs to warm up so I can get out there and track those bass down.
  20. The Dicks near me has about 2 rows of terminal tackle. I would say close to 16 rows of baits and tackle all together. I have a hard time choosing sometimes because there is to much and always end up spending $30-$40 bucks when I am there so I have been taking the other way home from work so I am not tempted.
  21. I have never fished with a trailer hook on my spinner baits before but I bought a couple packs this winter. When fishing a spinner bait with a trailer hook and trailer are you attaching the trailer to the trailer hook or the main hook? (I hope that made sense.) Also do you guys use trailers on buzz baits as well? Thanks!
  22. I have always liked going to Dick's for my fishing tackle. Its only 5 minutes away compared to BPS which is over an hour. They have tons hooks, tackle, worms, and just about everything I could need. The only reason I travel to BPS is because they have a much better selection of rods and reels. I will have to check it out tomorrow to see if they have gotten anything new in the past week or so.
  23. The bass is 12lbs 13oz. I follow it on ESPN.
  24. Great looking fish! My cabin fever is at an all time high right now!
  25. Nice! Is that swimbait in the top left soft or hard plastic?
