  1. Huddleston Grass Minnow.
  2. D&M Custom Baits Piranha for me. They have great colors, nice skirts, and the detailed painted heads look fantastic. Much more durable then the Z-Man Chatterbaits.
  3. I too have an Eagle Talon 12. I replaced the seat right away as well and made a difference, especially in back support. You can see my YouTube channel below has a few vids of me fishing out of it and a little overview of when I got it. It's not a bad starter fishing kayak.
  4. Wacky rig or weightless Texas rig are the best options. If you use a weight make it a light one unless you fish really deep. The Yum Dingers are a great alternative to the more expensive Senko's.
  5. Snag Proof Bobbys Perfect frog and Ish's Phat frog are my two favorites. Booyah Pad crasher is a good cheap frog as well.
  6. Greg I mixed up Johnsons and Leonards Mill pond. Leonards Mill is the one right off of Rt13 as you leave Salisbury, not Johnsons. They both however are worth fishing. I have never fished Adkins however it looks like a decent little pond that I will have to try one day. Good luck this weekend.
  7. Welcome to the eastern shore Greg. I'm just down the road 30-40 minutes in Delaware. There are quit a few decent ponds in Wicomico county and Sussex county in Delaware. I too fish out of a kayak. Try Johnsons on Rt13 as your leaving Salisbury. Parking lot is on the southbound side of Rt 13.
  8. I think the spinnerbaits are great. Besides one eye falling out on both of the ones I have they have lasted a long time and catch fish. I also have used the Fred Roumbanis swim jig and thought it was fine too.
  9. Ish's Phat frog and River2sea Bully Wa are by far my favorites. I have the new River2sea Spittin Wa coming in a few days so I'm looking forward to that one.
  10. 7'6 Powell Diesel and have $$$ too spare on new tackle.
  11. Great start so far, my first tip would be to up your line size. Especially since you say you like to flip heavy cover. The gear you have now is just fine, focus now on finding and catching them.
  12. Took my 10E out today for the first time. Loaded and unloaded it in the back of my truck with no real problems. I will still like some sort of dolly/wheels for the back to help. The boat was very stable, much more than the 10ft and 12ft Tracker jon boats I had. No mods yet although I may add a floor to help with standing.
  13. Just picked up a new 10E this morning. Does anyone use or think a kayak cart like the one in the link would work to transport the boat a little ways and help with loading/unloading in my truck? http://www.amazon.com/Malone-Clipper-Deluxe-Universal-Kayak/dp/B004GYYY1W/ref=pd_sbs_sg_1
  14. I have the Lamiglas Xcel 7'3 Frog/Small Swimbait rod. I use it for frogs and really like it. It would handle smaller swimbaits up to 1.5oz.
  15. Powell Max Squarebill rod. Fits right in your price range and designed just for what you want to do. I really like mine alot.
  16. I would check Ebay for a Revo of your liking. Revo S can be found for under $100, a SX can be found for $120 or so.
  17. Started off with Spro and know really like Snag Proof. The Bobby's Perfect Frog and Ish's Phat Frog are now in my box. The Snag Proofs don't take on water and sink and I have found have a good hook up ratio. I think the Koppers frog is decent, they look great but in reality that's not what is really attracting the bass. As for plastic frogs the Rage Toad is hands down my favorite.
  18. Most versatile frog out there. It walks great, you can make it spit and chug like a popper as well. Slim profile, durable so far with decent hook up raito. Its worth having one or two.
  19. I went with the Powell Square Bill crankbait rod 695CEF. Perfect for what I wanted in a square bill rod. If your strictly choosing between M and MH then I would definitely go MH.
  20. Black and blue Texas rigged, pitch, skip, flipped under docks in stained water.
  21. Shimano Sedona. Just got one last week, very nice reel for the money. Other than that look at the President.
  22. I use Megastrike on already unscented plastics. A black Cavitron buzzbait has been my go to fish catcher this summer. Dicks Sporting Goods somewhat close to me used to carry them but I did not see any the last two times I was in there. Thats ok because most of my shopping is done at Tackle Warehouse and just today I recieved two more Cavitrons.
  23. I had the wacky style spinning rod. I thought the rod was decent for the money until I caught a 1lb bass and tried to lift it over a section of 2ft weeds while shore fishing. The rod broke about 10" from the tip. That said I wouldn't get another although I do have the Mojo Bass frog n slop rod. I think there are better rods for the money.
  24. Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I live about 10 minutes south of the Indian River Inlet. There is some great fishing in the area including freshwater for bass. Some of the guys already gave great advice on the area. I will just add that if you are looking for a little freshwater shore fishing in the area send me a PM. Good luck and enjoy your next trip down. September is a great time for the striped bass.
