I wear my Pfd at all times when on my kayak 3 inches or 300 feet of water, it is always on. I like the idea of making easier to find your body if something does happen, really good if your ocean fishing!! Badog

Last time I used a net was catching stripers in the Delta off my kayak. Badog

Take a piece of black roofing paper put it in your garden on top of the dirt, check it the next day. you should find worms . I used this method all summer last year and never spent a dime on worms!!!!! Badog

I fish the Tuolumne river, which is a small river. I throw small Panther Martins in the Bullfrog color. and the stinger grubs. These lures never let me down!!! Badog

I had an itch to go fishing today, I almost went this morning in the rain but started a good movie and coffee instead. Got out this afternoon at 3:30 and fished for an hour. Got 1 fish on a sexy shad rattle trap. This is my biggest smallie in 2 years of fishing the tuolumne. I am thrilled with this fish!!!!!! I had a great time and enjoyed the nice weather.

I want to start making my own spinning lures, has any used either the Hagen's Professional Wire Former or TwisTech wire former? Do you have any tips tricks or suggestions? I cant bear to spend another three dollars or more for an inline spinning lure!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!! Badog

My second stone in 6 months, by far my worse one yet. got to the ER Saturday morning at 7:09 am in triage by 7:12 am. and in a bed and IV started in the next 5 minutes. Was vomiting because of pain , but then got the Toradol on board and things went much smoother. Still have not passed the stone!!! Nights are the worst 2 Vicodin and 3 to 4 hours of sleep.Between Vicodin, ibuprofen and heating pad pain is much more manageable. I have been reading on the internet and blame consumption of to may sodas for my excessive kidney stones , 1 about every 18 months. I am hoping with a few changes in diet to be gout and kidney stone free!!!!!!!!!! Also Hats off the the crew at the Oakdale Hospital ER!!!!!!!

Very important to remember also cotton kills!! Try to stick with capilene as a base layer. Also synthetics in coats or jackets, and some kind of windbreaker if it gets cold and windy. But remember most of all cotton kills!!!!

Vince, if at all possible I would try and fish the delta. Hire a guide and do a half day or full day trip. Stripers should be out there in numbers. The Delta ia an amazing place and every angler should experience it once in their life!!! Or go shark fishing in the bay, you can fish off Berkley pier for shark and bat reys. Badog

Backpack is the way to go, mine has a water bottle holder on each side. It also has compression straps on the sides, I use these to hold poles in place, and set the pole handles in water bottle holder!!

A kayak works real well for that type of water!! I throw stinger grubs and small fluorescent green and black spinners!! 60+ fish is not uncommon. in the River i fish ,13 inch smallie is a nice fish and 15 inch is a true hog!!! I use 6 foot rod with 4lb test.
