May be a stupid question but what do you guys do when you have go to the bathroom when your in one of these tournaments? Plan to start this year and this is one of a few questions I need answered ;D

I think he won the last elite series tournament in NY last year on a spinnerbait.

By using the pre rigged version, the fish has to lift the entire weight off the ground and you won't feel anything until the fish moves the weight. Using the regular setup the fish only has to lift the bait before you will feel anything because the line slides through the weight. If the fish only lightly bites the bait without moving the weight, I don't think you will have any idea whats going on with the bait. I think..

I'd be interested if it were after early May (college). Also would be easier if it weren't on bigger lake like Candlewood (for me because of smaller boat)

I think I have been getting the wrong idea about rods and that is that the heavier rods are less sensitive than the same model lighter power ones. Is this true at all or am I wrong. I'm just starting to buy new rods so haven't had any experience to compare them.

I blame it on air conditioning...its tough to go outside when the inside feels so good ;D

Any tips for overhead casting? I can cast sidearm pretty far and starting to pitch alright, but every time I try to go overhead I get a huge overrun.

The little blue boat icon at the top center of the screen represents your boat so everything is behind you, stuff at the top is most recent. It allows you to select a point in the image and marks it on the map so you don't have to guess where it is behind you. Dont have one just really want one ;D

If bass are suspended far off the bottom - say at 30 feet in 50 feet of water - could this technique still be effective and how would you fish it differently?

if u found the bass to be suspended far off the bottom, could you still use this technique? Would you just not let the weight hit the bottom if you did use it?

When dropshotting without letting the weight hit the bottom in a situation like this, is their any recommended leader length or just the average 18" to keep it away from the bait? And I'm guessing vertical dropshotting is a must to for this situation?

Looks alot nicer then the other paddle tails on the market thats for sure.

I don't care how comfortable crocs are... they are hideous. Take those out of the equation and your good.

I think you would have a really, really hard time finding clients for this business. Also, you being only in high school, you will find it hard for people to trust you with their property. I am not sure if you would need special insurance but if you did, insurance is expensive as hell and you would probably find it hard to break even if this became an expense. Also, think about how you would be giving up your weekends completely, is it something your willing to do? With your plan now you may be thinking you only give up that hour at launch and at pickup. But what if their is a change of plans or emergency on the water and they need to leave early, you would have to go get them. I think you would be better off renting out the seat in the back of your boat (i don't know if you have one) to people that had to get rid of their boats because of the bad economy, basically a guide service but then again age issue is still there and getting strangers to trust you would be hard.

I thought a little differently about the weigh in. Ike's comment about he would be happy for the other two to win it because he already won one kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I will bet it was said only with best intentions, but it came off like he thought he was better than them.

Totally agree. Ike, KVD, Baine, and Lowen were the only people they showed on the water each catching only one maybe two fish. What the hell, couldn't they have gotten all these background stories out of the way before the tourney and showed some people fishing?!

I don't know if a lot of guys were able to listen to or watch the weigh in but I thought what Ike said was funny. It went something like, "yea me and duckett both got this speacial bait, I don't really want to go into it, its a special little crankbait we're throwing." But then in big letters on his jersey is LASER LURE made me laugh at least

Iaconelli was really hinting at this lure for catching the fish on the Red River at his weigh in. Think he is trying to just live up to his sponsorship or do you think he really likes it? Would anyone else try it based on this now?
