Daiwa= Michael Jordan
Don't think I haven't seriously thought about a bb gun as of late...primarily because of the Drozd. As a kid, a full auto bb gun was only in my dreams. I guess I could fulfill it as an adult. The new Drozd blackbird is like the original, but holds 3 co2 cartridges and has a 400rd bb hopper instead of only a 30rd clip. Me likey! http://www.airgundepot.com/eaa-drozd-kit.html

Daiwa= Michael Jordan
You and everyone else, but it's just crazy when you put all of the reels next to the alphas/sol. Here is the old Michael Jordan commercial for those that don't remember it... *Warning...clicking on this link will likely get this jingle stuck in your head for at least 24hrs* Glass bottles, classic. I remember the summer that Jordan's Citrus Cooler flavor came out. For three straight months my allowance went to Gatorade, baseball cards, pellets for my gun, and fireworks. That's classic; the three most important things in a 10yr old's life... bb guns, baseball cards, and fireworks. My mom said I ruined 3 vacuum cleaners from her vacuuming up bb's

Daiwa= Michael Jordan
"Like Mike...I want to be like Mike".... Anyone remember those commercials Daiwa Sol/Alphas Circa 2003 Abu Revo series... Pflueger How about Quantum's entire lineup... I think Shimano is the only Manufacturer that has a product line that actually differentiates itself and sticks to their own designs.

Curado best in show
More importantly...a $280 reel that is made in China!!

Strike King Rage Tail Chunks
We talk about Yamamoto's being expensive, but I didn't realize how much Strike King was charging for these. The key here is these are CHUNKS! $5 for 7 chunks is crazy! Just for a comparison... Paca Chunks (the original that everyone is trying to duplicate, but still the cheapest?!) $1.99 for a pack of 5. Zoom Chunks $1.99 for a pack of 5 Yum Chunks $2.99 for a pack of 8

Are Fat Ikas Really that Expensive to Pour?!
depends if you want an 8 or 10 pack ; mine are only a few pennies cheaper than hp.com. b Dam...I didn't see the 8 per pack part . Just trying to get the most for my dollar.

Are Fat Ikas Really that Expensive to Pour?!
Bass_Boys...I was like what is he talking about? He sells fat ikas, too? I hadn't heard of your website. It was kind of frustrating...because I couldn't find a price for your baits on your website. Then I saw handpouredbaits.com sells them, so I checked them out. It seems yours are the cheapest I've seen so far. $4.99 a bag is respectable. Should I order some from handpoured, or would you make more money if I bought them from you

New Curado, yes I know it's old news...
I admire the fact that you go huge or go home. Haha...yeah, but for every time I've gone huge, there is a time I went home

Bass Pro Brand Fluorocardon TOO MUCH MEMORY!!
Right now I've got Trilene 100%, XPS fluoro, Pline CXX, Stren Extra Strength, and Shakespeare Supreme in stock. There isn't any of these lines that I can spool up and leave them alone for a month and not expect them to have memory when they come off the reel. Just tie the end of your line to your bumper or a fence post and walk off 75yds or so and give it some good pulls. This will eradicate the memory. It will also just disappear on it's own after fishing for 10-15min, with your bait putting tension on the line.

What plastics to use for flipping?
I like a large profile plastic with a solid weight...usually 3/16 to 3/8oz tru-tungsten depending on how bulky the plastic is. A brush hog with a 3/8oz weight will still fall slower than a Beaver with a 1/4oz weight. You just have to adjust to get your desired rate of fall. My favorites are... Bass Pro Shops Beaver Bug in Roadkill. This is my 'fat ika'. This bait has dominated for me all summer. I don't leave home without it. Double Wide Beaver 5.20 with a pegged 3/16oz weight. Berkley Sabertail Burly Bug with a 1/4oz weight. This thing is fat...it is as thick as a fat ika with tons of action from those claws. Very underrated bait that flies under the radar. Gary Yamamoto Flappin' Hog. It looks good...sure...but check it out in shallow water laying on the bottom. I'm not sure why, but it looks just like a 'dad. I'll throw those along with a jig to get a reaction bite, but it is important to have your change up ready if they don't want fast food. In that case I'll throw a weightless Senko

Lucky Craft
Well, my wife has had me second guessing that question a time or two ;D.
-
Are Fat Ikas Really that Expensive to Pour?!
We can rule out the 'They require a lot of plastic' argument because Senkos and other stickbait knockoff's require significantly more plastic than a Fat Ika. I guess I was expecting the Fat Ika kockoff's to be really cheap like the Senko and Beaver knockoff's, so I was quite surprised when I saw they ran $6 for a pack of 10. That's .60 cents a pop for you mathematically challenged folk. It just seems like a lot of money to spend for a grub that has a skirted tail versus a curly tail.

New Batson RX8 blanks
Unless Fishsticks4U is giving you a discount...you could save a few bucks by buying your blanks from Sneider. They average over $10 cheaper per blank. Sneider Batson RX-8+ blanks... http://www.schneidersrods.com/batson_advanced_rod_blanks.htm Fishsticks4U Batson RX-8+ blanks... http://www.fishsticks4u.com/Blanks/BT521.htm Noticeable savings....

New Curado, yes I know it's old news...
I've budgeted for 6 Citicas...I think they look hot! They are going to serve as my 'infantry' reels, taking abuse from the harsh landscape while I hike to ponds. Texas sure does seem to have a lot of thorn bushes...and thorn vines that wrap around your foot

KVDs line conditioner
Hi Peter! Welcome to the site ;D. You guys advertise here, so you can just start threads promoting the conditioner without the cover.

Okuma swimbait rods
That's what I was going to say...he is an Okuma Pro-staffer. Doesn't mean the rods aren't a good buy...but it definitely means something

Megabass Jerk/Rip Baits....
The 110 is the only one to get...
-
When did BPS start carrying Megabass?
I'm one that will say they are very well constructed, beautiful baits...and that's what you pay for more so than their fish catching ability. If you know me, then you know I have no problem shelling out for a bait. However, I only own 3 Megabass lures, two I purchased used off of ebay (two griffins and one vibration) and they do catch fish...but their fish catching ability comes second to their artistry. I'm not judging my opinion soley on my experience with those three lures, but just being in and around the tornament scene and reading tournament results of the majors puts Lucky Craft at the top of the food chain...not to mention less expensive. I love the 'A Day on the Lake with a Pro' articles in Bassmaster magazine; I clip out every one and put it in a binder. These guys look at this as bragging rights, and honestly want to do well and not lay a stinker. 3 different articles...3 different pros whom are not sponsored by Lucky Craft busted out a Pointer (Iaconelli was one of them) when they were faced with tough conditions and they weren't getting bit. Lucky Craft is cosistently the only high-end bait I see pro's shell out for when they can't get them free. Megabass has artists and craftsman designing their baits...Lucky Craft has touring pro's designing theirs.

Sebile Lures- Magic Swimmer
Check out last month's bassmaster...two of the three tournament results featured at the back of the magazine were won using a Magic Swimmer. It's the hottest bait going...

Suggestions Needed...
Get yourself a new Berkley Lightening rod and whatever reel from Shimano or Daiwa that you can afford.

Powell prices lowered!
This is already posted, but it is indeed sweet. Just in time for me to purchase a couple more crankbait rods. FYI the longer rods went from $199 to $169...they weren't $169 normally.

Flukes/ Slug-go
It seems as if more people these days go with the fluke versus the Slug-go, but I'm a Slug-go man myself. The Slug-go just has the perfect, non-exaggerated action when you twitch it, and then it just glides. My favorite color is the watermelon shad
