Yeah i've always heard that as well, and i could feel him hit and miss then come back and hit it and he hit it hard and then when i was reeling it in i was saying there is no way this is a SM but i got it in and it was. I think it's because the way he was hooked was on his mouth and like under his jaw he really couldn't fight good. Either way it was a gorgeous fish and i was glad i finally got to see one in person!

That happened to me except it was a fish that snapped my line but it was like the 2 day usin it. Didn't have another one so i made sure i stocked up after that.

If your already having great success on ones that aren't as expensive I don't see the need in spending the little extra money for a spinnerbait that probably won't be anymore productive than what you use now.

Yeah seriously. I used to never think buzzbaits were any big deal. I had tried a few different brands all different colors and never been impressed enough to use it frequently but then i got the cavitron and it just catches fish like no other.

I couldn't tell you what river but yeah we left at half time as well the first half lasted forever.

Not sure if this should be here or the smallie section but if it's wrong my mistake. Anyways, went up to app this weekend to stay with a friend and watch the game. We got out today on a little river and i was throwing an x-rap and got my first smallmouth on. I had been craving to catch a smallmouth for forever so it was pretty exciting.

Man after watching that a second time it really does look like what fourbizz was saying. Haha not trying to tick anyone off but the first one looked like it was hooked under the boat ahha and he set the hook and it was there. Then dragged it in like it was a boot. I know big bass are lazy but that looked to be how a bass is after getting him to get the boat.

Yeah when i saw the second guy pull it in it seemed kinda weird to me how he "reacted" to getting a fish on and then when he pulled it out and it was a crank i was surprised b/c i didn't see him working it. Either way great vid!

When i caught my pb in my avatar, i got it out and the jig was hooked how yours was. I moved it a little and it fell out if he was a fighter and not a lazy shoe he might have gotten away! haha

I only use gamakatsu hooks for plastics but when i got some trebles to change out with some cheap stock ones, they started bending. Definitely won't be buying any more gammy trebles but will stick with their single hooks for sure.

Yeah i've floated it before with friends but didn't fish while floating. I think i remember you saying you waded in it before. But I'll check those out thanks a lot!

I've been craving to catch a smallmouth lately so I found a couple spots on google maps or w/e to find a good spot on the river to fish besides the river park but every spot i found was private. Anybody know any good spots to bank fish at the river that you can catch smallies? I live in the pfafftown/lewisville area. Thanks!

Only reason I can think of NOT taking the weekend with taylor swift is if you swing the other way. haha I wouldn't hesitate with that answer, taylor swift is gorgeous. Much sexier than kvd catching a couple bass. ;D

Went out today a little after lunch to a new little spot. About the 2nd cast with my floating matts hard gill i got this guy on there. It landed then i twitched it once and he hit it. Wasn't the biggest but still a good fish!

Hahaha i always said that too but it was pretty cold this morning.

I tossed out my 55 dollar matts hard gill...let it sink to the bottom, and then catch something so i couldn't get it out! :-/ I now know how it feels to throw 55 dollars into a lake and definately won't be slow rolling anymore expensive swimbaits.

I haven't used them, but from what it seems there are plenty of better things to spend your money on.

Haha it definately won't be a lot but hopefully I'll be able to throw some up there before fall ends! And the thing is even with me not getting many catches, it's still exciting just fishing them

Oh i know it's a lot better of a reel than anyone would think. Very reliable.

Got my new 7in slammer and 6in punker today so I went out to give them a try. I was working them for a while and my arm got tired so i decided to see how deadsticking a slammer would work and while that was going on I'd fish with my 10in power worm i brought for follow ups. Well I caught this little dink on the power worm. So i kept fishing the punker and slammer and eventually saw something strike at the slammer but come up short. I just keep a steady retrieve and sure enough he came back and hit it! Not exactly the kind of first swimbait fish i was expecting but it was still exciting! (Yes, that is a black max strapped to my okuma swimbait rod! It's temporary...i get my cardiff 2m! ;D) Before it got dark a couple kids came walking down on the bank they looked maybe middle school or freshman in high school. Anyways, one was like woah, look at those lures. He was like...those are way too big, theres not even anything in this lake big enough to eat those : I wish i would've been a little closer to give that kid some insight on what a lmb can eat! After it got dark I was fishing the slammer and it was about 10 or so feet away and something hit it but it startled me so i jerked it really quick :-[ I'm not sure if it was a follower that just decided to strike before it got too shallow or if it was a dink either way, a missed fish is a missed fish > Another side note...I was expecting my new jsj snack size floater to come 2m or saturday so i didn't even check the mail. Come home from fishing only to realize it had been sitting in my mailbox all day! I could've used it when i went fishing i was pretty upset but thats what happens when shippers are too cheap to use delivery confirmation! I guess I'll have to get up early and test this bad boy out in the morning! 8-)

How long does the beta last? And have you played it? Is it really worth 60 dollars?
