  1. x2 It probably won't last as long as the more expensive ones but it is definately worth 50 dollars. Great real for the price and when you have it set right it can cast very nicely you just have to play with it a little.
  2. Yeah I saw this on TV but it seems like when I hit the branch to realize I need to let it float up it's already hung! Maybe I need to slow down when cranking? LOL yep thats me as well. it takes concentration. you will feel the line stiffen, thats when you need to eithe slow down a ton or just stop and feel your way through it. its hard now doubt and the pros make it look sooo simple but its not. what you could do is buy some cheaper cranks and practice with it. i know thats like purposely flushing $$ down the crapper but i dont know how else to get better at it. there were some videos on youtube that show you how to get un-hung. I wish I could afford that! Haha I'm going to just have to start slowing down and paying more attention to when I hit something I guess. But the easiest way to get unhung is to reel your rod down to the lure it almost will always come undone when you do that!
  3. I think it means STARTING at 59.99 which is how much the triumphs cost because I saw this too. But I own a premier crankin rod and I love it. I have the medium power moderate or moderate fast action? Either way its very flexible and can cast the lures I want very well.

  5. Flatside DT, little johns, and laser lures. All have square lips and would still get hung up.
  6. Exactly I felt like I was in such a good position and then I'd get stuck and have to troll over there and get it which I felt made me have to move. >
  7. Yeah I've heard the same and that's what I was sticking to out there but still kept gettin caught. :-[
  8. Huh? :-? The name of the lake was Salem Lake.
  9. Yeah he's like 6'3 and if I had to guess i'd say around 6 too!
  10. At the lake I've started fishing there's a lot of like tree branches and wood cover shallow and I'm sure there's bass hanging around in there, but last Saturday and Sunday I kept getting hung up ended up loosing 2 jigs and kept having to get cranks undone. How do you get your cranks to "deflect" this cover and not get your jigs hung up? I've read all about people fishing cranks in flooded timber and "bouncing" it off cover and stuff but I can't seem to do it w/o getting caught. Any tips? Or am I completely off?
  11. Just PMed matt if he hasn't sent it to someone else yet!
  12. I'm a little confused at what your asking.
  13. Those little plastic things were a hassle. I finally figured it was easier if you twist them off. I haven't noticed any difference using the laser lure so far, but then again I haven't used it in low light conditions. Have you noticed any difference?

Cavitron buzzbaits. Ghost and black are my favorite colors and majority of the time I use a trailer hook because I lost 2 fish when I first started fishing these so I'm not taking any chances anymore.
  15. I've been busy and feel bad for not making my post earlier....I sure meant too . When dick's has a sale like this, it is the perfect time to utilize the coaches coupon. I bought 12 Joe Thomas Flat Mini's and a couple of pointers for $7 plus tax. I use 3 coupons at a time, which entails 3 separate transactions. I think using three coupons at one time like that is probably the limit as to keep it in good taste. I hit the two dick's closest to me. I hit the morning and night crew, for a total of 12 coupons. Sorry I didn't post it sooner.... Last time I tried the coaches coupon they said I can't print off coupons or something but they'll do it this time but not anymore. I printed it on a color printer maybe it's because I didn't look like a coach? : Either way I told them it was given to me from my step-dad who coaches but anyways will I have trouble like that with this one? Should I print it on a different type of paper? I've never had a problem. However, I do print the coupons out at Kinkos with their color lazer printer. The paper Kinkos uses in their color printers doesn't feel like normal paper, and it doesn't look 'printed out'. Maybe that is why... Yeah possibly. I'll have to try that I think we have a kinkos around here somewhere it sounds familiar. What do you do to print it off?
  16. Oh, and if you were wondering why in the second picture he looked a little douchey, it's because he likes making funny faces in pictures after he catches a fish. :
  17. Me and my friend went back out to the lake and had no luck at all all morning. I think it's just because it was our second day out on a boat were used to shore fishing so it'll take time for us to get use to finding the right spots on a boat and stuff. Anyways it was about 12:30 getting pretty hot so we started fishing under a bridge where I just caught this little dink. So my friend was fishing this little glass white husky jerk beside the pillar or whatever holding up the bridge and hooked into this nice bass. Took him for quite the ride almost breaking his rod since she took a fast break right under the middle of the boat. Take a guess at the weight, still don't have a good scale. In this one you can see the little husky jerk he caught her on. ;D

  19. Yeah thats what we did we stayed near the sunny side. Thanks!
  20. If the temperature is low 40's its about 8 A.M. and the sun is shining which side of the lake would you go to in a boat? The side where the sun is thats warming the water? Or the side that has shade? Because I'm not familiar with locations to go on a boat yet and I do know bass like to stay in the shady spots but also like warmer water so which is the best place to head to? Shady spot or sunny?
  21. Nope wasn't pegged. Probably would've had more results if it was tho! :-[
