  1. I'm looking for a rod specifically for cranking and this rod is what I'm thinking of getting has anyone used this rod? Or is there a better cranking rod out there for the price? (109.99) Any help is great thanks!
  2. Yeah in my mustang I lay down the back seats and can fit me and my friends 7' + rods in it!
  3. I'd probably try and find a low-profile baitcaster instead other than that sounds good!
  4. Alright thanks a lot! Yeah I saw that but I think I'm going to start getting mainly all St. Croix rods thanks a lot for the info!

  6. I don't know but most reels seem at least 20 dollars cheaper! Someone order from there and let us know if its legit or not. ;D
  7. Maybe it will last longer than two fish! Yeah it feels like it could hold up after quite a few fish.
  8. One tip is don't try using your teeth. :-[ After that idea i went back to pliers again and it worked. You just have to really tug at it to get it to come out.
  9. I have the 7" fat sinkworm and its really heavy. It has a fall when wacky rigged almost exactly like the senko I think.

Go to the fea-Market on this site someone is selling a Bass Pro Extreme rod caddy and it looks like a real nice one! Yeah I actually saw that and when I went to look at it on BPS it had terrible reviews.

I fish from shore and its a pretty good ways from the car to the shore I fish at mostly and I need a safe and easy way to get at least 3-4 rods down there. Something that would hold more would be nice so my friends could fit too. I'm not sure which one of these rod carriers would be safer and easier. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_36941_100011007_100000000_100011000_100-11-7 vs http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_90079_100002007_100000000_100002000_100-2-7 Any thoughts on which one would be better?
  12. I've been looking for a cranking rod and came across the St. Croix Premier cranking rod. They sell it in a glass version or I guess the regular version and both are made for cranking. The glass version is more expensive. Is there really any difference in the two? Heres the regular one... http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_74391_100002006_100000000_100002000_100-2-6?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail And heres the glass... http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_74395_100002006_100000000_100002000_100-2-6
  13. I'm about to go tomorrow here in NC. What were you using?
  14. No but I've had my eye on them too they look awesome and reasonably priced. I hope someones tried one so we can get a review.
  15. Actually the Chronarch B is only 170 at ***! If you click on the thing that says something about *** matching spring sales then click go shopping it takes an additional 10% off when you put it in the cart!
  16. I want to buy a new combo for mainly cranking and I was thinking the bps extreme reel with the low gears but then I thought all spinning is usually low geared and would allow me to crank slow plus I can cast farther on spinning gear since I haven't mastered baitcasting yet so I was wondering if there was an advantage to having a b/c set up for cranking or if it really mattered which one I used. Thanks for your input!
  17. Yeah I definitely thought it was the funniest movies I've ever seen. I can watch it over and over and still think its just as funny as the first!
  18. I had a post about Jackall cranks a few months back and no one recommended them. So instead I went with the Jackall Aragon and I love this crank now. http://www.***.com/descpageJACKCRANK-JA.html
  19. By ECU do you mean East Carolina? If you are in NC, NC State and UNC Charlotte are the better engineering schools. Your degree will mean much more from those two. However, if you like to party, East Carolina is in the top 3 of best party schools in the nation, so take your pick. If you aren't from NC and your ECU is different from my ECU, then disregard this post. Haha well if I would've taken high school a little more seriously I would've went to UNCC but because I wanted to have fun rather than focus on school I'm pretty much limited to ECU. But I don't know I just wanted to hear from others that are or know engineers just to get a better understanding of what its like. First make sure ECU even have an engineering program. I know App offeres a pre-engineering program, but no real program. If you want to consider engineering you better make sure you LOVE math. I mean LOOOOOVE math. For examples check out the class requirements off of the schools websites. Most schools will give you the course lists you will need for a particular major. Yeah they do there.

  21. Well I was thinking automotive engineer but now I'm definitely rethinking the whole engineering thing. What is everyone's career? What'd you major in? I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do next year I'm starting to worry! :-/
  22. I've pretty much made up my mind that that is what I'm going to major in college next year at ECU. Any of you engineers or know someone that is? How do you like it? Any advice or any experiences would be nice! Thanks
  23. I'm going to have to say bluegill, but thats just because where I fish has tons of them and that color always seems to work.
  24. That rod in particular is rated 3/8 to 1 oz I don't think that can handle what i want to throw.
