  2. Gregg, did you notice all the construction going on next door at bullfrog ? The forest preserve is building rental cabins along bullfrog. The new sign at the entrance says camp bullfrog. I have been fishing at maple steadily over the past 5-6 years and have seen the bass fishing decline steadily. How about you ? The place draws all the bucket and picnic people from the city on the weekends who leave the shoreline looking like a landfill come monday morning.
  3. Mann does that thing look sweet!
  4. If he indeed spelled it correctly (stripper) I would like to hire the guide for fishing
  5. I'm not sure if the link i posted is working.I used some fast link snaps instead of the split rings.I figured one of the benefits of the snap links would be that you could change the weights easy if you wanted to.
  6. I couldn't find my split ring pliers so i rigged up some using these. They look like a decent alternative for those without pliers or split rings. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-FastLock-Bass-Snap/product/7816/

  8. This video will help. Its a fun and simple way to fish without dragging a bunch of tackle with you.
  9. I use these jig heads in the 1/16 size.I put a drop of super glue gel on the barb to hold the stub in place.http://www.basspro.com/Luck-E-Strike-Cable-Jigheads/product/10224212/?cmCat=CROSS

  15. The last 3-4 years i have had my transducer mounted in the hull with no problems. Cabin fever boredom has me thinking about attempting the rudder/transducer spring combo like this guy did.

  17. The catalog used to excite me years back when i first got back into fishing.I remember coming home from work and running to the mailbox like Ralphie did looking for his ovaltine decoder ring. Now i bring it in the house and rarely ever open it.
  18. Another vote for the chicken soup.I like to make homemade with extra garlic and onion. I have had people tell me hot & sour soup from a chinese restaurant works fabulous for cold/flu symptoms also.
  19. I think our beloved Chicago bears would have made a better game of it.
