    Maple Lake 33" 7.5 lbs Northern Pike
    on July 26th 2016 this 33" 7.5 lbs northern pike I caught this on a 1.5 kvd square bill shad. Rod 7' Boyd Duckett Med.Hvy.spinning rod and Shimano Stratic st 4000XGFK reel w 30lbs Jaybraid line. This was a 13 year old pike,according to biologist. Gregory Alwes angler.

    Hi, IL anglers Greg here just got off of Maple Lake caught a 3.5 lb large mouth bass. I found out some bad news Cook County is not going to put rental boats out this year,to bad it could have been better fishing on that lake.

    I use the Garcia Veritas 7' MF it's a great action rod I match it with Garcia MGX and can fish all day.Can't beat that combo.I also have the Premier but thats a spinning rod not bad at all. Hope that helped,have a great fishing season.Greg

    I have a Quantum Smoke PT series trigger baitcaster 7' MHF.BPS has this rod SKC706F $159. I've been using this rod for little over a year.It's a very light rod I match it with the Quantum PT reel.I can fish this combo all day.Hope this helped.Have a great fishing season.Greg

    Some really good rods.I use the Duckett crank'in rod 7' MHF ,I fish it with the Abu Garcia MGX reel.I could fish all day with this combo it is really light.Have a great year fishing.Greg

    The BPS extreme MHF with the POWERHUMP GRIP is a very nice rod for crank'in.I've been using this rod for two years now and caught alot of LMB.Have a great season.Greg

    I've been having a problem with Fluoro & Mono curling up I put it on the spool correctly. It happens when I'm casting.Has anybody got a solution to this problem.Thanks Greg
