So, the lake i am going to be fishing is completely choked with mill foil with alot of surface slop. what lures/presentations do you guys suggest?

I think it's not about the color it's how well the reel performs. I could really care what the color it was as long as it's putting fish in the boat.

lightest line you can get away with 6lb - 8lb mono what lake are you fishing? for some lures small crank baits, tubes jigging spoon anything that works for bass down there well work here in canada

my experiences with the black max is really poor quality the reel broke a month later, about 2 weeks in the reel started to grind and was really hard to turn the handle i thought maybe i should re lube it , bought some the next day, went to go try her out same problem just my 0.02 cents though
