  1. i will try to take some pics of the jigs i make and post them tomorrow.
  2. i agree that the zoom ultra-vibe speed worm is one of the most versatile baits out there. you can catch fish on it from top to bottom and it can be fished a million different ways.
  3. yes this is also a very very strong hook but tends to rust and get dull easy, thats the only reason i dont use this hook. jmo tho.
  4. i use the arky jig mold do-it model # ARK-3-AY* and use the gamakatsu 60* bend ewg flip heavy wire hook 4/0. these are by far the strongest hooks ive ever used when making jigs. there perfect for fishing heavy wood cover. 8-)
  5. nice fish !! jig and pig is a very good bait after you learn to fish it and when to use it. its probably one of the best cold water bass baits there is and one of my favorite baits to fish.
  6. i have had a few expirences. the one i cant ever seem to get over happend one night at an old lake that me and some other buddies got permision to fish at in miamisburg/west carrollton ohio. known to be one of the most haunted towns in ohio... so we got to the lake at about 8:45 pm about a half hour before dark and start fishing. about an hour goes by and it is now completely dark we decide to stay and fish a while because we were catching quite a few fish. at about 9:30pm me and my buddy both hear two people talking... now this lake is in the middle of acres of cornfields with only a few houses around and they are pretty far away and a train track about a hundred yards back behind us on the other side of a set of woods. the voices were coming from back by the tracks... we both wonder who would be by the tracks that late at night. we just kept fishing not thinking much of it. about 10 min later the voices stop. its completely quiet out, other than the crickets. we catch a few more fish and decide to leave so were walkin up the hill to the car parked on the gravel road by the wood line after we get about 20 yards from the car we hear footsteps walking down the gravel road. we get to the car and start putting the tackle and the poles in the car. the footsteps are very close now we start looking up the trail to see who it is we see nobody but the foot steps got closer and closer... were both like what the h*** is that? and the footsteps go right past us but there was no one there!!! we both run over to the car get in and leave as fast as we could. we both agreed that that was the weirdest scariest thing we had ever seen or encountered. we have been back to the lake and fised a few more times (only because the fishing was so good) (i even caught one of my biggest bass out of there) we have heard and seen some really freaky stuff out there and have never been there and not heard or seen something we cant explain. we did talk to on of the people that live in one of the houses nearby and they said that there was a house back there a long time ago that burned down and the people who lived there died in the fire!!! thats creepy.
  7. you have a very good point...
  8. i would say they are all spots... from what i can tell.
  9. those things are actually really fun. i got to play around with one at the bass pro in cincinati the other day.
  10. I dont like quantums reels i never have had one that didnt have something go wrong with it. I have used a few of there rods and havent had any problems with them, they have been decent rods. daiwa makes a great reel and a great rod havent had many problems with any of there products, although i have had a few problems with there reels but they have been small problems that are easy to fix. if i were to choose beetween the two i would go with daiwa for sure. but i would honestly look at some shimano stuff tho if i were you
  11. man i wish the weather was like that here in ohio.
  12. black, black blue, brown, watermelon,pb&j. my favorite is all black jig with a zoom creepy crawler tail watermelon/red.
