Like already stated, they work great on both! I have also cashed a couple of checks on his baits and trust me the hair jigs are not just for fall fishing!

I use Vanish Flouro and have absolutely no problems with it. Like already mentioned, 10lb test was really light for what you were throwing. Just like any other flouro you must change it out frequently. Be sure to use backing to save money. I like to use cajun red as backing because it makes it easy to see if you’re getting low. It is very easy to try and blame the line. You have to make sure you have everything set up properly and using the appropriate lb test.

I love them, no complaints.

Don’t buy a Motor Guide! The costumer service and warranty is horrible. My steering cable broke after one year and of course it does not fall under warranty. Instead of sending me a 30 dollar (retail) replacement cable they wanted me to drive 70 miles to a service center to double check if it would fall under warranty. I don’t know about you but that does not seem like good business to me.

Just give Koppers a call. They may replace it or at least suggest a fix. BTW, I also use the Koppers frogs. I also own Spro frogs but, always tie on the Koppers! Not that you asked anybody if Spro was better. Hint Hint! Koppers 1-888-231-4448

I always have a NorthStar hair jig tied on. I killed the smallmouth at Lake Winnipesaukee two weeks ago with them. 5ft of water on a bright blue bird day.

My boat will be docked in the Moltonborough Bay. I plan to be on the water sun up. If it gets crazy in the afternoon I will just dock her and wait for the evening bite.

I’m spending next week on the lake. Can anyone give me a starting point to finding the fish. Location? Technique? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just got back from a week long fishing trip at Black Lake. By far the best fishery I have ever fished. I went with 8 guys and everyone easily caught 15 to 20 fish a day! Every single fish that was caught was released. We did see a lot of campers keeping quality fish, not easy to watch! We already booked the cabins for next year!
