I'm spending a week on Black Lake at the end of this month. Can anyone tell me about the lake? Is it a good fishery? With the current gas prices I hope I’m not towing my boat 8 hours for nothing!

Outstanding Bait! They do tear easily, but they catch fish!

I used it in the past as main line, but currently just use it for backing. Not for any negative reasons. I just made the switch to fluorocarbon. It is well priced and very strong! The only negative opinion I have is it seemed that I was out fished by friends using fluorocarbon when the fish were finicky. That being said I out fished friends using the line with red hooks. Over all I think it is good line. BTW it is great for backing because when you see the red you know it is time to re-spool.

I'm running low on space and considering purchasing a 10X12 ft shed for my fishing equipment. I have some high end stuff and I'm worried about any affects the CT cold weather may have on it. Does anyone have any proven info or knowledge about adverse affects of storing fishing gear in an outdoor shed for the winter?

It was the BP in MA

I just bought a Z-7 two weeks ago and on the third trip out (first tournament) the boat went to hell. They gave me the wrong live-well plug, the seat ripped, the trolling motor failed and the oil reservoir cap located on the engine was double threaded and oil ended up everywhere. I live 2.5 hours one way trip from bass pro. I told them i wanted them to pick it up, repair it and then return it. All of these issues were combined with several others and an unprofessional staff. I tried to use the chain of command and it failed. That's when I contacted the office of the VP of bass pro (who owns nitro/tracker) and my boat was picked up the next morning (yesterday) and is being fixed. They always try to rip the little man.

Most of us fish in different locations under different conditions. You just have to try it to see if it will work for you. Also you can't use it one time without success and say that it does not work. Be open minded when trying new stuff. I can definitely see a difference when I use it. Just might be in my head, but if that does it I will use it.

I have good success with the Yum garlic scent.

I purchased the reel at the end of the season, and did get a couple of trips out of it. So far, I have not experienced any problems with it. In fact I love it and will purchase another one. I tried it with two different cumara rods. I was using it with heavy Texas rigs, light texas rigs, wacky worm and split shotting live bait. Worked well with all. The only negative is that it only comes with one spool.
