IS it worth spending 50 on a melting pot and 30 a mold ? Way i see it you can buy a years worth of weigtht for that price... Unless i were to sell packs after making them - i do have about 8 5 gallon buckets worth..... Also FLUX ? Im confused like welding?

Anyone know about making fishing weights out of old lead wheel weights? Im a mechanic and have TONS AND TONS of old wheelweights in the garrage have had a few people come by and ask for them - was thinking Id try it - looked at a melting pot and molds but seemed to cost more than its worth ... that and are fishing weights still made from lead? If you know a good site to get the stuff to make the weights at a lower price than Bass Pro please pm me,

With the tough economic times and grocerys going up in price... Im wondering what fish would make a good meal. Im looking for somthing easy to catch (Other than Catfish) that makes good food and where could I find information on how to catch them? Any Recipee's would be nice as well.

You may be right marty but i created this in intrest to see what people prefer and give them a chance to name their top lures (Rather than what kind - that would make a good pole maybe) but the brand and color was more to see where they were from and what works for them in that area. Just thought it would be intersting.

Agreed Raul now.... List those 600 Crankbaits 100 Spinnerbaits etc... and we are in business Im intersted in knowing what everyone Recomends specificly not just " Jigs Spinnerbaits and crankbaits " What Brand / Type of jig spinnerbaits etc.

Thanks RW that helped out alot i have read just about everything in the library (Which your right is EXCELENT) however am still a little confused on the " Trailor " If i use a jig with a weed guard and skirting lets say brown with white flakes, would i put a brown zoom worm on the hook as well? This to me doesnt seem to follow what people are saying about adding a trailor makes the jig fall slower... or are trailors somthing i dont know about that are sold at BPS for this purpose only.. Hey i was told a Jig would work the best for the cold wether out here in NC - but was told to use a PORK TRAILOR to match in color. Can someone elaborate on this? First of all what jig should i use and second what is a trailor? and what is pork? (I know they arent refering to baccon) . Thanks PS if anyone has a pic of one riged this way it might help.

Hey all - Im in Matthews (Charlotte Area) Fishing at local parks and ponds somtimes Lake Wiley and the Catawba River, but im not having any luck at all. Its been since November 4th I caught my last bass and ive tryed everything - Got the SLOW DOWN part ... I cast wait 30 seconds reel 1X count to 40 reel 2x wait 30 half a reel ... and so on with differant combos. Mostly Texas riged Zoom Cottoncandy (Worked this time last year) can anyone give me a good combo that will work - some of the guys out here say the bass have lockjaw and wont bite right now because of the colder weather however I dont believe them. Someone from NC PLEASE help me out (Or anyone who knows what im doing wrong) is there a specific bait that will work this time of year out here and if so where can i get one - I just need to pull somthing in other than weeds.

Was wondering if it was possible to find a decent boat to fish lake norman and wiley arround north carolina for under a Grand. I know thats not much for a boat and im constantly checking Craigslist (Spoted a few OLD OLD OLD .... boats if u can call it that) but was wondering how much an averange jon boat could be built for or am i stuck with an inflatable ....

I just got for Christmas A new pole and rod was wondering if its the right one to upgrade to from a Wallmart special REEL : Shamino Symetree FJ 2500 ROD: Bass Pro Shops IM6 MEDIUM 2 Piece 6.5? length (to fit in my truck) Line: Berkley Treeline 10 lb and also 8 lb (Not spooled yet) I do alot of softplastics and am starting to try some new thinks like spinnerbaits and would like to get into lures got a BBZ-1 Shad 4inch Was wondering if this is a decent set for a beginner (Fish alot but never real serious, now im on the water alot (3X a week And All Weekend) Of shore until I can afford a small Tracker boat.
