  1. Sweet! That's gotta be cool to see! Have fun, man!
  2. Wayne, is your tank named Briary Creek, by chance?
  3. Nice, man! You're off to a great start so far, and still have all year to up both those PB's again! Keep it up!
  4. I haven't fished NC since last year, but have friends in Va. that have caught fish off beds already. Some of your fish have spawned.
  5. Well, for me, the most used Rage Tail bait, is the Craw, but that's because I use it for Rage rigs, Tx rigs, jig trailers, etc, etc. . The majority of my top 15 biggest fish, have come on the Lobster. The Shad is the best topwater bait on the market, so that would be a favorite, also. The Recon Worm is the best worm ever, and the Shellcracker is making a very strong showing. Aw, hell, guess I'm not much help in this conversation. They're all good! I do think that one of the new baits coming out at iCast, is going to be many people's favorite, though.
  6. The Cumara is my favorite over the counter rod. The only way to get that kind of sensitivity and a comparable warranty in a rod, is to go custom.
  7. I heard he was doing time for attempting to hi-jack a Shimano delivery truck.
  8. Nice! Haha. Super model trout!
  9. Nice! And there you have it, folks! Nice job, man. What was workin' for ya?
  10. That's true, the smallies do get moving earlier than the largemouth it seems.
  11. Right now, the fish are not even close to spawning in the Merrimack. Fish a jig/Rage Craw in the deeper slack water very slowly. They won't be in those riffles until June. Right now, stay in the rocks, and right up close to cement and big boulders. Remember....Slow!
  12. We've all been there. The key to consistent success, is versatility. Even though I fish plastics and jigs 99% of the time, I still have enough tricks within those parameters to make something work.
  13. I'm with ya on that. Usually no rush to hit the water early when I'm out this time of year.
  14. Haha! Don't worry, I'll just tell ya!
  15. Yessir! I'll be there Monday!
  16. I'm on my way! The rest won't be far behind, either! Oh, and one other thing about Horseshoe. We saw some MONSTER carp in that place if you're into that kinda thing. I'm talkin' good 20-30 pound fish! My buddy almost lost his mind when he saw one stroll on by. He tried to catch a couple on the plastics we were throwing, but no takers.
  17. Hey, I fished Horseshoe in Merrimack for the first time last year because I got a friend who lives right up the road, and we went to check it out. Not many big fish there, but there's at least 2 six pounders! Ps- did someone say there was open water in Concord?!?!
  18. In most parts of N.C. the bass are in the midst of spawn time. Some have, some are right now, and some are getting real close. Work outside and through those areas with a quick moving swim jig to match the baitfish, and you'll hookup.
  19. I just vomited at the thought.
  20. Rage Tail baits are made in the U.S.A. I have to admit, though, that's not why I fish 'em!
  21. Great fish! Congrats!
  22. Nice fish! Congrats on the PB!
  23. Well, generally, cranks cast pretty good in the wind, so you might try that. If it were me, I'd try to focus on that drop off, and that timber with a jig. Work your areas slowly and thoroughly.
  24. I like that train of thought there, Nev. I live by the same. If you can catch 'em in 37 degree water, the rest of the year is EASY!! Not to mention, that the spots you catch them in now, will be the exact same spots you will find them in post-spawn, and in the heat of summer mid-day. Kinda like bass boot camp!
