  1. Hey, buddy, trust the Gorton's Fisherman! Welcome to the board.
  2. Good point, FD. Reminds me of a little lake that's only about 15 minutes from me, and on the way to a bigger better lake I fish here and there. I had stopped there a couple times to check it out, saw tiny bass around the shore line, but for 2 years, probably 5 or 6 times out there, I could never find the bigger fish. I kept at it, using the same big jigs and plastics, even though a couple locals said "there ain't no big fish in there." Well, I eventually did get that bigger fish, a healthy 5.5 pounder on a Tx rigged Lobster. I just had to do it for me, just to prove that I could catch a better fish there and prove a couple friends wrong. I haven't fished it since. Keep at it, and when you do catch a good one, it'll make you smile!
  3. I wouldn't give up on it ever until I caught Hawgzilla that is probably living there. Public park ponds usually get pounded to crap by every Tom, Dick, and Harry in town, so you are going to have to be patient, possibly trying things you haven't yet, but most importantly... never give up!!
  4. Not free of trash talkin', but free to join in, yeah.
  5. Yeah, braid's fine in that water, plus it'll do you better in the wood, and that's what they are sitting on.
  6. Rage Craws (or Lobsters) all the time!
  7. What's up, Jay?!?! Me, I got a bunch of crap I'm trying to take care of, so very little time to get out anywhere for the next week or two. And yeah, fishing with your kid is the best feeling. Mine's been all over me to take him out. He's learning jigs this year.
  8. Black and Blue jig with Rage Lobster in Blue Sapphire color.
  9. We're gonna get you to catch some of those monster smallies on a Pearl Rage Grub, or maybe a Menace.
  10. Oh, and I'll throw this out there. I'll send 5 packs of any of the Rage Tail baits, in any color, any combination to the winner of this thing, and make it 10 if the winning fish was caught on a Rage Tail bait. That goes for second place if I happen to take it!
  11. Hopefully, this will be the year of the 101% NH largemouth! Three things are for certain... 1) If I post a fish, it will be caught on a Rage Tail 2) If I post a fish, it will be a new NH PB for me, and 3) It will be fun, as usual, seeing all the great catches from all over. Good luck, everybody!
  12. R.I.P Mr. Hannon, prayers for his family
  13. Black and Blue jig, Okeechobee Craw Rage Lobster.
  14. That is sweet!
  15. Nice, man! Way to get it goin'!
  16. No, not recently. And Deaknh03, a brush jig, big 3/4oz, Green Pumpkin color head, Blue Craw color skirt, Falcon Lake Craw Rage Craw trailer. Stay deep of where you want to fish, then cast shallow to find your humps and ledges, then slowly drag the jig down, into the drop offs, wait for monster bass to kill it.
  17. Great fish, Big O! Oh, how they love that jig/Lobster!
  18. I've caught Salmon and Northern Pike on jigs with MegaStrike.
  19. Jigs. I'll be stuck with a jig rod in my hand, from ice out, till the end of May. Probably all I will use, and I'll catch some monsters doing it. Can't help on that bag, but I don't think you'd ever regret having more space in the 3700 size.
  20. Rage Tail Lizard is probably my personal favorite, but a very close second, and probably the best C-rig bait in the world, is the Eeliminator.
  21. You gotta move. Get outta dinkville, and into where the big girls are. Head to the "Wal-Marts" in the lake.
  22. I'm getting ansy, too. Here's my biggest from this year so far. 11.5lbs on a jig/Lobster. It's gonna be a good year, boys! PS- my PB from NH is 9lbs,1oz, caught last year early spring.
