  1. Wow, very nice! I'd love to grab me a Pixy.
  2. Yeah, that's no fake, that's a heck of a fish!
  3. Rage Grub, Rage Menace (twin tail), and most action would be Baby Craw, Chunk, or Craw. I use the Baby Craw the most. Love swim jigs!! Single handedly took the spinnerbait out of rotation for me.
  4. Well, I suppose you're right, but this site is moderated closer than other sites, and many pros do come here. Mark is just a regular guy, with a cool job. He's always happy to talk fishing, and share experiences, so I have no doubt he is a member here.
  5. Yeah, he is a nice guy. I met him last year. Very smart dude, and a wonderful family man. Sam, I don't think he's fishing this year, due to some health issues with his wife, he wants to be around for her. Hopefully, that'll give him a little time to come on here, and share some stuff!
  6. For me, it's gonna be learning the new electronics. Lot's to learn on a pair of HDS 10's.
  7. Exactly, Flyfisher. About how many hours will one of those cards hold? Somebody here suggested filming in 720 30fps, so assuming that's what I'm using, can I just let that sucker go for 10 hours?
  8. The Big O Brush Jigs are fantastic! I actually prefer them in bigger rocks than a football jig. Hooks are great, and skirts are spot on!
  9. Good advice. I still need to get me another one. I will in the next week or two.
  10. Glenn, that truck could tow away a Wal Mart!
  11. Big O, I'm bringing mine down, so lets get yours all charged up, too, and we'll have a couple different angles to record and play around with. Just make sure you get the biggest SD card available!
  12. I think I'm with you, Bob. I do love fishing all night the night of a full moon when it's clear and calm.
  13. Glad to hear it's getting better. I'll be there in a month.
  14. I, too, am a Tundra owner, and love my truck. You won't regret getting a Toyota, trust me. Good luck with your purchase! Hey, 00 Mod, sweet truck, man!
  15. Cool, man! Glad you got it figured out. Gonna be a lot of fun filming this year. Can't wait to see more! I love this stuff! Nice job.
  16. There's a lot to soak in when you're just getting going in this sport, so do plenty of reading. Lots of good articles on seasonal patterns of bass right here on this site, so start there. As for your question, pre-spawn is that time of year, when the bass will be transitioning from their winter hangouts, to shallower water, where food sources are more abundant, and the water is warmer, and they will eventually bed down for the actual spawn. You will know it's in full swing, because you will find the bass feeding much more aggressively, and spending a lot more time just outside those prime spawning grounds, usually right at the first drop off from shore.
  17. Sounds like you found schools of baitfish, probably shad. While that's one piece of the puzzle, it's not the whole key to finding bass. Don't try to use your electronics to find fish, use them to find structure AND baitfish. The first thing you really have to do, though, is figure out what depth the bass are hanging at. Once you do that, use your finders to locate off shore structure and baitfish at that depth. From there you can dial in what speed to fish, what profile bait, etc.
  18. Well, until he does chime in... those were not bed fish. He doesn't bed fish ever. The fish in those videos were caught in 12' water, sometime in early summer. And no, he doesn't use a net. Like RW said, the scale only comes out for fish in the teens. Oh, and so there's no confusion, Big O has more fish in the teens than anybody on this board, and well over a thousand fish over 10lbs.
  19. Looks like an easy to use program, Nitro. Thanks for the heads up. I'm in the clip gathering phase right now, and when I have some good stuff, I'm going to start putting together some clips.
  20. I'm in the same boat as you. Just got one for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to hearing some of the more experienced video editor's advise. I downloaded a free trial of Corel Video Studio 5, but have no clue how to put this stuff together. Windows also has a software package that was pre-loaded with Windows 7, that they say is very easy to use. I haven't really gotten into it yet, but some feedback would definitely be appreciated. Like, how do you take a specific section of a video clip, and stick it in where you want it?
  21. November 16th, '09 in 41 degree water. I caught a 7lb 10oz bass on a Rage Shad. I was out before sun up, and I still had a Green Pumpkin/Chartreuse Shad on from the night before, and figured, hey, what the heck. I threw it up into the bushes on the shoreline, eased it into the water, and as soon as I did, it got crushed! Wasn't expecting that one, but that was my new PB at the time, and it stood for 2 1/2 years! Silly bass!
  22. Glad to hear it. Yeah, warmer water coming soon, and that's a great bait to get it done when they want it on top.
  23. If you can do a head gasket on a Subaru, they're great cars. Just a known problem with them.
  24. Nice job, man! Did you get that Toad running right, though?
  25. Yeah, a 13lb average. Now that's gotta suck!
