  1. That there's a good idea, JFrancho. Guarantee that will get 'em! Don't expect Big O to come out with something just because there's a "craze".
  2. MegaStrike is great! I use the attractant all the time. Very nice guys to do business with, too.
  3. Rage Tail all day every day.
  4. The Rage Tail linup of baits, are the best plastics on the market. They are the best, because Big O is one driven, dedicated, perfectionist dude, with an honest love of the sport. He told me, and he'll tell anyone, "If it aint right, it's just wrong." He knows bass behavior, and feeding patterns, and he puts it all into making a bait that will draw strikes from the biggest bass. While everyone else is just copying other companies, and chasing everybody else's tail, he is a true innovator, and stays way above the curve. His baits are among the most copied in the world, and it's not because he makes average stuff, it's because he makes the BEST stuff.
  5. While any bait can be flipped, if I'm on a stricktly flipping bite, my bait of choice, is the Rage Hawg. A close second would be a Space Monkey. Braid and heavy action rod are a must.
  6. The Thumper is a great worm, especially when you got muddy water, or are fishing in low light conditions. I personally like the Black Neon and the Falcon Craw for the big one. I also use the 7" version on a shakey head, or on a Tx rig, and have a lot of success with it. Don't forget to try a half of the 7" one (also use the cut tail) on a drop shot, too!
  7. Worth a shot, but if you tried a jig and didn't catch a fish, I would either focus on fishing slower, or finding the fish.
  8. A few on the Rage Tail website, and a few here in the fishing reports section. Here... http://www.bassresou...my-bucket-list/
  9. Soooo....? What'd you find?
  10. For stuff like that, I go to a swim jig or a weightless Lizard Tx rigged on a 3/0 hook. I suppose a shallow crank would also work, or a weightless fluke.
  11. Whew! Now that's a nice pair! Great job!
  12. Yeah, a lot more bass die after the fact than people think. Some say as much as 40% in hot weather conditions. The best thing for the fish, is catch and immediate release.
  13. Your water temps are going to be around 37 degrees, so working slow is a must. I'd stick to a jig with a big trailer, again, worked extremely slow, and in areas in close proximity to deeper water. A drop shot with a small plastic is another way to get them, because you can work it in a target area for as long as it takes. You didn't say whether you were going to be fishing from a boat, but either way, do look for the deeper water. At least that's where I'd start. I was out yesterday, and got 4, but they were tough to come by. Good luck, man. Let us know how it goes.
  14. When you use the Rage Tail clam shells to make Holiday chocolates. (the Toad and Shellcracker are pretty cool)
  15. Thanks, pal. Jig/Lobster fish. 10lbs.
  16. Forget shiners. Catch 'em the real way.
  17. Both of those places are notorious for big fish, and great fishing. That's gonna be fun! Good luck, bud!
  18. THAT is nice! A few of those will be in on my next order.
  19. Although I have had alot of sucess on a Baby Craw, the 3" single tail Grub, the Menace, and a half of a 7" Thumper on a drop shot, the bait I have and am using now catches more than all those combined. It's a Rage Tail prototype, and when it comes out, it's going to set the drop shot world on fire! It's killer!!!
  20. My main goal for 2013, is to break the NH state record LM (10.5lbs).
  21. That's naaasty! I hear ya on the wheels. All black would look even more classy.
  22. No, most bang for your buck, and within your price range, would be a Shimano Curado 200 G ($160), mounted on a Shimano Cumara ($99 right now clearance at TW). Try beating that combo for $260. Better hurry on that Cumara, though, before I buy 'em all up.
  23. 95% of all my biggest bass, have been on jigs, and I can say, that I felt a hit on all of them, except maybe one or two. I mostly fish jigs "horizontally", and always feel a thwack, especially when swimming a jig. Must be peoples' diferent styles of fishing for sucess one way or the other. Not saying I don't miss hits, because I know I have, and I'm sure I'll miss some more.
  24. Boing! Yes, please. That'd be a nasty combo!
