Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)
Nice fish there! I love fishing in the dark. Must've been fun. You'll get that 5 soon enough, just fish as much as you can. Great work. Here's my biggest of the day today. Caught on a Rage-Rigged (keel-weighted) Rage Craw in Falcon Lake color.

Water temps about 60 degrees, and yes, they are feeding good when the fronts aren't going crazy. I slayed 'em today right before the rain started. Tomorrow will probably suck, and Monday might be tough. No reason not to try, though. Let us know what happens. Ps- Nev, what'd you keep those picks, or what?

Couple adjustments, and you'll be back on 'em.

Favorite Worm
Rage Tail Recon Worm Falcon Craw color, Tx rigged on a 5/0 Moaner hook with pegged 3/8oz tungsten weight. I've actually caught more fish on the Anaconda, but been fishing that a lot longer, but this new Recon is killer, and definitely my favorite.

Bassin In The Dark
Nev, the record is 10-8, and no, that's not too big, even for a 5 pounder to eat. Probably won't catch a ton of dinks on it, either, but, no I haven't used one. The only topwaters I use, are Rage Shads and Toads.

Oh yeah, I should have also mentioned to pitch, and not cast to your targets. When they're being stubborn, your bait's entry into the water will come into play. Get it in there quietly, and accurately, and let it fall straight down on semi-slack line. I fish with a buddy who cannot pitch to save his life, so he is always casting. Last time we were out and the bite was tough, I out fished him 5 to 1 because of it, and we were both throwing identical baits.

Jitterbugger, to answer your question, no, it hasn't slowed down at all, in fact water temps right now are in the prime zone for a largemouth's metabolizm. They are aggressively feeding right now, however, I think what you have experienced in your past couple outings, was the effect of the numerous fronts we have had back to back. That kinda stuff messes with the fishing. Sunday I was out in the rain for 3 hours, and caught 15 bass between 2 and 4lbs. When you get out there, and find what you think should be working isn't, then you're gonna have to make a few adjustments to catch 'em. First, they are probably going to be off the banks, or at least next to some good structure. Start with humps, rock piles, and brush piles out a little deeper. For baits, use stuff with a slower fall, and fish slower than you have been. You CAN get them to bite, because they are feeding up for the winter. You can almost always get 'em on a jig, when push comes to shove. Ps- my second fish on Sunday, was my 1000th bass over 13" this year caught on Rage Tail baits, which was one of my fishing goals for the year. Still working on the 10 pounder LM, 6lb smallie, and of course, the state record!

Bassin In The Dark
Yeah, fishing in the dark adds another angle to the game that is very exciting, and I love it. My overall most productive thing to toss, is either a black n blue jig/ Lobster, or a Tx rigged Anaconda. Color doesn't seem to really matter, but with the worm, I usually stick to Red Shad or Red Bug at night. Really stained water brings out the big 10" Thumper in Black Neon. If the occation calls for it, the funnest way for me to catch 'em, is on the Shad, though. Nothing beats a night time topwater bite!

nhbassin, the one in Stoddard/Washington. I launch all the way down at the bottom of the lake at the launch in Stoddard. Love that lake.

I'll be on Higland Lake Sunday. Last chance out there before they draw it down to winter pool on the 10th.

Bluegill Color Rage Craws
Yeah, I'd dig that, too, but in the mean time, try a Blue Craw with a smidge of Charteuese JJ's on the tips of the claws. Looks pretty good as a bluegill imitation.

She Made Me Go Skinny Dippin With Her!
That's classic, Big O. Let's just hope while I'm down there fishing with you, we all keep our clothes on. Nice work, bud!

What Lures To Use In Early Fall
First thing I'd throw, would be a swim jig/Baby Craw to find 'em. I'd also probably start in the 6-10' range, checking the laydowns, and the first drop off.

Things Learned From The Site Paid Off Today..
Yeah, buddy! You did good. Those Craws are the real deal, you'll have a lot of fun with 'em, for sure. As for the bladed jig, the Pure Poison is better quality than the original Z man. I use both and they both work great, but the Z Man's do fall apart pretty quick.

Any Luck Out Of Horseshoe In Merrimack Nh This Year
Yeah, I was thinking drop shot, but C-rig would probably work out better if there's a lot of weeds. Not many places don't have at least a few hawgs in them, just a matter of taking the time to figure out what works, and be willing to leave fish to find the bigger fish. Many people don't get that.

Any Luck Out Of Horseshoe In Merrimack Nh This Year
Went there today to check it out for myself, since my friend lives 2 minutes from there. Got 4 fish around 2lbs, he got 3 about the same, and I got a 6lb, 4oz. I did see some friggin monster carp cruising the shallows. I might check it out with the bass boat to get on 'em better. Basically junk fishing out of the jon boat with no electronics.

Trailer For Finesse Jigs
The 7" Rage Tail Thumper and Baby Craw are great on finesse jigs, and the Baby Craw and single tail grub are killer on swim jigs.

Rage Shad, Anaconda Rigging And Presentation?
For weightless on both those baits, I always use the 5/0 Moaner Stroker, and for a keel-weighted Anaconda (which is killer in the grass), I use the 6/0 weighted Stroker. Make sure you're separating the tail tab on that Shad.

That's an ok fish, but not a monster for the south. I'll show you a monster when I fish Falcon in November with Big O. His PB outta that lake is almost 20lbs.
