Rage Tail Shell Cracker! Swim it on a keel-weighted hook like a little swimbait, or turn it sideways on the same hook and use it for pitching into the nasty stuff. When you want a great bed bait, rig it on a stand-up jig head, and rip some lips. Versatility, and fish catching madness, in all the great colors you want. One of the funnest baits I've ever fished.

I loved the format! That really IS the future of professional bass fishing. None of those fish died, and that's going to catch on. Great show and coverage!

Yeah, I am on the water at the same time as duck and goose hunters every year, and I just make sure to wear bright red. I doubt you'll notice catching any less fish, I know I don't.

The only plastics I use are Rage Tails. My favorite colors, are Falcon Lake Craw, Blue Craw, and Green Pumpkin purple/gold. If I could only have one for the rest of my life, just gimme a Falcon Lobster. At least then I could still use it for a jig trailer, Rage-Rigged, Tx rigged, C-rigged, even topwater, and catch fish anywhere in the country .

Cheap is a relative term, but I'd much rather spend a buck or 2 more for a bag of plastics than have a higher quantity of inferior baits that don't do the job as well. I'm out there to catch fish, not to collect a bunch of crap.

My advise is to not even go near the shore. Fish deep with a C-rigged Eeliminator. Trust me on this. You will not get skunked any more.

Yup, JB Customs does all my rods that aren't Cumaras, and they are baaaad mamma jammas! Have John do up a jig rod for you, and you'll be in love! Of course, if you want off the shelf, the 7'7" Heavy/Fast Cumara really shines with 1/2-1oz jigs in deeper water with heavy flouro (or braid/flouro leader).

I just recently fished for a week out of a friend's boat, and he has 2 Lowrance HDS10's, and whoever said it will change the way you fish was right. It was AWESOME!!! Ps- Okay, the friend was Big O, and he really uses those things effectively for finding the structure on the structure. I just hope once I buy his boat in the spring, I can learn to use half the stuff those units do!

My dedicated drop shot rod is a Shimano Cumara 6'8" Med XFast, paired with a Shimano Ci4 2500 with 6lb Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultrasoft. Doesn't get much better than that.
