2500 Or 3000 Stradic Ci4+/rod
If you are using braid the 2500 holds more than enough line. My own choice would be the 3000, I prefer more line capacity as I would be targeting other fish as well.

What To Do When You See Someone Breaking Rules
Florida is a gun happy state, not worth the confrontation.

Is Coke Really Worth It?
There is no blanket rule that covers type 1 or type 2, both predisposition and diet can contribute singularly and jointly, everyone's body is different. Some people manage their diabetes without much difficulty, while others have to be monitored and change treatment to cope with the advancement of the disease. Diabetes is never cured, so I've been led to believe. Diabetes can affect immune system, eyesight, nervous system and host of other diseases. A serious condition that can result from too much sugar and foods that metabolize into sugar is tooth decay. Tooth decay can lead to infections which can affect other body parts as well heart disease and heart attacks. If one does escape many of the health problems that arise from a poor diet, they've been lucky. If and when, and most likely will be when sickness occurs those cavalier attitudes going to change mighty quick.

Should One Automatically Change Out The Stock Treble Hooks On All Of Your Lures?
Only a couple of lures I buy that automatically change hooks. Most I buy are just fine, when I do replace I use 4x, not really fussy on who makes them.

How Do You Deal With Nuisance Fish?
I'll kill a snakehead and let the buzzards have at it.

Bass Throwing Baits
I would say I lose more bass due to weeds than any other reason. Any fish can be lost on a jump even with a good solid hookset. No one lands every single fish.

Do You Guys Ever Need A Break From Fishing?
I normally fish saltwater every morning and fresh water every afternoon, never get tired of it. I haven't fish in almost 3 weeks due to a medical condition and I'm going nuts.

Saltwater Baitcast Reel Bearings?
I have only 1 b/c for saltwater, my spinning reels are so superior I don't use my Avet hardly at all. All I do to my sw reels is oil the handle bearings, line roller bearing and spindle, I do nothing else unless the reel needs to be repaired. I use Boca Bearings brand of oil, primarily because it's easy for me to buy it right over the counter.

Power Pro Braid
I still have original PP on quite a few set ups, only problem I ever had is windknots which seems to occur way more on my freshwater setups, even though I may be using the same poundage as saltwater. Any braided line is apt to get scuffed up and break off, losing a fish or lure from a breakoff has more to do with where you're fishing than the brand of line. I switched to another brand of braid 8 months for freshwater, have yet to have windknot or lose a fish due to breakage. I've spooled up 3 saltwater reels with the same brand but in 20# not 10# and the success continues.

Rod Line Guides
Every rod I have but 1 has ceramic insert, never seen any grooving ever and I use only braid. I only need a guide to do 2 things, have the line go thru smoothly which they all do and not corrode from saltwater, which will happen once in a while no matter how much care is given to them. In 10 years down here in Florida I have replaced 1 tip on a freshwater rod. Of the guides I have replaced due to corrosion, have never felt an iota of difference in the weight.

Leader Knot Through Guides Okay?
I use an Albright on my freshwater sets ups, using a duolock my leaders stay on a long time before I change them. I don't even notice the ticking anymore, at first I was well aware of it. Recent memory I have never seen this knot loosen up with thinner lines and leaders, my slightly heavier saltwater set ups it has but it's rare.

What To Use To Wipe Down Exterior Of Reel?
My reels don't get broken down, I do oil the handle bearings, spindle and line roller bearing. I spray the exterior of the reel with spay silicone.

Cecil The Lion
There are many injustices through out the world that do need much more attention than they are getting, I'll stick on this topic. This lion was lured out of a protected park, any big game hunter and the guides employed would know this. There isn't much wiggle room, they committed a crime and it's hard to believe they didn't know they were doing it. The numbers of these animals are shrinking, there are less than 30,000 lions left in the wild. What a lion does in the wild is nature, has nothing to do with this event. It's one thing for a government to approve a legal hunt, an illegal hunt is another matter, we cannot control what other governments do. Many don't seem to care because these crimes are happening on foreign soil. When it happens here we get outraged, fish being caught out season, size and bag limits disregarded, and over fishing. An example is Atlantic cod, it's been fished vastly over fished along many other species. Do we all care, probably not if we don't target those fish as recreational endeavor. Much of our own personal attitude towards fish conservation is totally self serving, if it isn't a bass it doesn't matter, I think it does. I have nothing against hunting whether for sport or survival, what Palmer did was neither. What he did was a commit a blatant crime, there are legal hunts but opted not to go that route. I can't cut him any slack just because it happened thousands of miles away.

Cecil The Lion
Zimbabwe claims the lion was easily recognizable, professional hunters should have known that. The government claims the hunt was illegal, when in another country one must play by their rules regardless of what the opinion of how the government is run. Zimbabwe is attempting to extradite Palmer for trial. This is not a situation of culling the deer population encroaching on expanding civilization. Not an act of saving the animals from starvation or are they man eaters going into villages. Nor is it any kind of humanitarian effort to feed people, $50,000. buys a lot of cattle. The park generates over 1mil in tourist activity, Cecil was a main attraction. These hunts are for pure pleasure and trophy hunting. Conservation, more like reducing the population of exotic animals. There was a hunt for a black rhino at $350,000, not many of them left in the wild. Kind of amazing how people will caress a 2# bass like it's the only fish in the world, then slaughter an animal and let it die a slow death. This lion was wounded, then 40 hours later was finished off. On these hunts I'm always rooting for the lion to win, a real man would be going 2 out 3 falls hand to hand combat with Simba.

Is Coke Really Worth It?
Like many young people I ate and drank what I pleased, never took a day off due to illness or injury over my entire working career. Thought I was an iron man, well I'm not. I never drank much coke or other soft drinks, I did however start drinking some about 7-8 years ago. That along with foods that metabolize into sugar I was diagnosed as a diabetic 5 years ago. I'm keeping it fairly well in check, but that requires watching my diet closely and my medications have to be changed from time to time. Some people actually go the other way according to my diabetic dr, he's had patients go off insulin after they have lost 100#. As important as diet is many of us are predisposed to an illness based on family history. I can't remember any dr of any type not having a section on their questionaire asking about family history. I know everyone has a grandfather that smoked 5 packs a day and lived to 90 or 100, that's far and away the exception to the rule. Something is gonna get ya, that's what old age is about, dying of natural causes is just getting sick. Being a diabetic is the least of my on concerns now, meeting with a specialist tomorrow I hope to have a clearer outlook on my future. I'm not one to seek armchair medical advice or want sympathy, I'll keep a low profile on my status. Genetics aside, you are what you eat.

How To Bank Fish?
2 ways to bank fish, sight casting IMO by far the best as described in another post. Blind casting, work a 180 degree fan pattern, then work it a second time and move about 20 yards and do it again. When fish get spooked, they sense you, don't believe clothing or hiding behind a bush makes any difference. I've seen many a fish just swim away as I approach, and have caught many that just stayed and didn't spook.

Help Near Delray Beach/lake Ida
I'm always going to fish artificial, especially fishing the beach. I want to be mobile as I'm walking and casting looking for fish breaking on bait. Not unusually to run after them as they may be heading away from and not at you. If the blues and jacks are around I like a top water. Ladyfish I use spoons, they will destroy lures. Snook I like jerk shad (fluke) on a jig head, all around lure for anything is a spoon. I'd probably pick mh rod to use with bait, your sinker alone is going to be at least 1 oz plus the weight of the bait itself. For a short trip I would be overly concerned about specifics, if the fish are there those lures will work just fine. As long as you're here ya gotta try for peacocks they're fun, they give a decent fight.

Brady Suspension ( 4 Games )
Brady is 37, has had a great career but no one goes on forever except George Blanda. Football is business, suspension or not the Pats like any other team have to consider the future. Bledsoe was 29 when he got injured with plenty of football life ahead of him, how much time does Brady have left. Time will tell if Garropolo is the future,

Help Near Delray Beach/lake Ida
Fishing from the bank I have done considerably better catching both bass and peas in the canals vs Lake Osborne and Lake Ida. This time of year I would fish freshwater only mid day looking for peacocks, they like this this hot weather and the bass activity isn't as strong. I would be devoting prime fishing time to saltwater, that's what's happening now. There is a thread going on about what is considered a good fish, 5# seems to satisfy many, 5# isn't too impressive in saltwater

What Do You Consider A Good Fish In Your Waters?
I fish for snook year round, as much as being my favorite fish to catch they don't come close to a jack or tarpon. I do quite bit of bass fishing too much more in the winter, I eyeball the sizes. Given the choice I'd rather catch 20-22" bass on ul and light spinning than bass 25"+ with heavier gear pulling them thru muck and vegetation. To me it isn't the size, it's the lite gear used and catching them in open water that excites me more.

Help Near Delray Beach/lake Ida
I live in Delray. Lake Ida has poor bank access, additionally this is summer and the bass bite is slow, there are peacocks to be had. It's true bait is showing up on the beaches now, that's the place to be this time of year. When the bait is running there isn't a lot of knowledge required, put a spoon on, bucktail, soft plastic on a jig head or top water. The peak times to fish the beach are sun up and sundown. Personally I would drive up to Boynton, it's only 5-6 miles, you can park for free, fish the jettys or the beach. Before 7 am you can park for free and fish at the Boynton city beach or a 2 blocks up at Hammock park, just north of Ocean dr, Gulfstream beach (free too) 1/2 mile south of Woolbright can be a very hot beach. Everything depends on the wind direction (ne is ideal), bluefish are fun, ladyfish are like catching small tarpon, barracuda, snook, even those little blue runners will surprise you. We pretty much have the bigger jacks already, the smaller ones come in this time of year, can be a hook up on every cast. If by chance you hook into a 20# jack, be like nothing you can imagine.

Golf Course Ponds??
If you have permission know the course, fish holes 7-8-9 early morning and holes 1-2-3 late in the day, golfers won't be there. In the event you know some one that fishes a golf pond, don't go there, you might screw it up for them.

Fishing For Bass From A Jet Ski
I've seen guys go offshore in the ocean on them, rigged up electronics and rod holders. I've seen on TV snowmobilers set them up similarly.
