Need Advice On A Medium/heavy-Heavy Spinning Rod
I think one rod covers all that quite easy. I'd forget about power, med or med hvy as power ratings are not industry standard, I'd be looking at lure weights on the rod. I'd be willing to bet about any rod rated for a max lure weight of an ounce will have enough power.

Sensitive Rods
^^^ is a good answer. From my own standpoint I think I feel just about everything thru braided line. When using a stretch line I feel the line getting taut, and I have seen very few rocks that swim away, so line watching works too. I do not put as much emphasis on a sensitive rod as some do. All I need from my rod and reel combo is it to be comfortable, I'll take care of the rest.

What A Fight
Thers are dozens of grouper varities ad I don' t know what's in your waters. It looks a bit like a gag or black grouper, but those orange spots throw me. You can always grab them from the top holding a tag or towel, those fin spines are sharp, infection is always a possibility from them. Like my dad taught me with bluegill, grab from the head and work back so you are pressing down the dorsal fin.

Swimbaiting For Musky
That's true, cuda's like calm clear water, a much harder catch in dirty water. Never tried splitting the tail, most of my cronies make them similar to mine. I did make a mini version and used it for bass, I was surprised as I got struck.

Snook Fishing!!! First Time!!!!
Yes both snook and tarpon love mullet heads or the live whole mullet, I'm not a fan of cut bait or really any kind of bait except artificial. Your rod, reel and line are fine, super fluke on jig head is a good bait to use.

Spinning Reel Under $100
I'm still searching for that answer......lol, I don't believe there is a best, just preferences. Some of the fish I catch the spool gets very hot because of the fish I'm catching, the drags keep performing at a high level, like a stradic or soron stx, which are both really good, for some fish those are my preferences. For a $100 or less, the Pfluegers do perform very well, imo fish less than 10# don't really test your gear. For larger fish I do have more confidence in other brands

Solid Beach Bite
Took my new friend to the beach this morning, started slow but ended in a flurry. Between the 2 of us we landed about 30 Jacks, quite a few about this size, he caught his first snook ever about 12#. I'm one worn out guy this morning.

My Review Of Spiderwire Ez Flouro. Short And Sweet.
I have some spiderwire xxx 17# on a 60 series spinning reel that I use offshore, it's been fine so far, pretty good stuff really.

Finding Fish Without A Deph/fish Finder
From shore early morning I fish the sunlight, fish like to warm up, later in the day I fish towards the shade, fish do not have eyelids. I look for bird activity, bait, and fish activity. From shore I like the wind in my face and fan cast but the emphasis is more along the shoreline.

Spinning Reel Under $100
Pflueger's are getting highmarks and I concur. I use 3 supremes ($99) in freshwater and an arbor and medalist for saltwater. My Floogs are the smoothest reels of all of my spinners, daiwa, stradics, soron stx., Penns, Quantums. Only the floogs have never seen the need for service of any kind. Are they the best, no.......but for freshwater use and under a $100, any Pflueger can't be beat, even a trion. They are the Timex of the reel industry, they take a lickin and keep on tickin.

Spinning Rod And Reel Setup....need Help Choosing
If this was my only spinning set up I would not buy a ml rod, I don't feel there is enough backbone to handle heavy vegetation, I do use L and ml for pond use fairly void of weeds, for bass that's my favorite way to fish for them. This is from my own point of view as I do not use b/c reels for anything.

Im-8 And Im-7 How Different?
I don't think it matters either. A few years ago I bought an im 10 rod, took it to a canal and returned it to the store within an hour and bought an im 6 which I'm still using today. The first rod was marketed as an inshore redfish rod...........really, that was a joke, a fairly popular brand too. The rod I'm still using is also an inshore rod, my preference for canals and and slop, this one I could use for redfish.

Snook Fishing!!! First Time!!!!
Snook are all over S/E Florida, beaches, piers, ICW, brackish canals and even in freshwater. Snook fishing is similar to bass fishing, some call snook saltwater bass. Presentations will vary depending on where you are fishing, about any bass lure will work fine, even a senko. IMO it's more important to know the don'ts, not the do's, probably the biggest mistake a bass fisherman makes when target snook is over thinking, when snook are on they hit anything, when off they hit nothing. Don't fish calm water, snook like it rough, don't cast for distance, cast along the shore line, sea walls or adjacent to a pier, snook ambush and like to stay in the shadow of structure. Do not take a ton of tackle, many experienced snook fishermen usually fish with but one lure. Probably 90% of my snook (most other inshore fish too) are caught with a bucktail, spoon or a fluke on a jig head. Do not stay in one spot, unless you are on pier, sometimes you need to walk to find them. As a rule the outgoing tide is best, this time of year the incoming can produce because there is baitfish around, being on vacation your going to fish anyway. I can't emphasis this enough, put your jig, spoon or fluke on and don't change too often, walk and cast. Snook can be one of the easiest fish to catch or one of the hardest, they decide that not you. Don't take a knife to a gunfight, snook can get sizable and are a strong fish, I don't recommend any thing lighter than a mh 7' 10/20 spinning rod, 4000 reel and 20# braid with a 30 or 40# leader, unless one is experienced. On average they should run about 6 or 7#, 15 or 20# is not uncommon.

Swimbaiting For Musky
The cuda tubes actually were developed for stripers, as I heard it, from a gent in Maryland. The is supposed to resemble an eel............I make them a few ways, this style is the only pic I have, that's a 12/0 limerick hook, it's bent and that what gives it the spinning movement.

Braid And Knots For Topwater Baits

Best Braid Under $25?
I mostly use PP and more than satisfied. When I see Fins braid I buy it, I really like it a lot.

Spinning Reel Question.
Could you use 50# braid, sure, but why would you? I use nothing heavier than 15# braid fishing Florida slop for bass, I don't use backing myself but there is nothing wrong with doing so, an alberto knot will work well. I get no slippage going all braid, I use a wrap of masking tape, even with braid ready reels. I do a lot of saltwater fishing and I don't use anything heavier than 20# braid, I may get spooled but my line isn't breaking.

What Line Do You Like Better?
I tried the cxx, way too much coiling on my spinning gear and I have given up on the floroclear, didn't feel the strength was there with 20#, both on offshore spinning and conventional reels. Back to good ole trilene xl, if any of my local stores carry the yozuri I'll try it.

Post Isaac Fishing
My canal was dead yesterday, it hasn't been real good the last couple of years, prior to that it was killer, don't know why. Interesting the water level is pretty average despite all the rain. Fished one of my ponds, again it was dead and the water level is about 3-4 over the banks, I could cast from my back porch. The snapper were in yesterday, I do not fish for them, unless I can get a cubera, but the crowds were huge.

Swimbaiting For Musky
I'd be willing to bet a barracuda tube would get a lot of muskie strikes. I've caught many of both species and there are quite a few similarities in how they strike, follow or veer off without striking at all. I even have used a figure 8 for cudas with success.

Looking For A New Rod What Do You Guys Recommend.
Regarding spinnerbaits, not only can there be a weight difference but water resistance plays are part too. My preference is a slightly heftier rod and willow blades rather than colorado. In general the majority of freshwater lures I use fall well between the parameters of what's stated on the rod.

Renters / Tenants Rights ???
Not that buying is a bad idea, but there are questions you need the answers to first. Is this the right home to buy? Can I qualify for a mortgage? Can I make the mortgage payments if I don't have full occupancy? Insurance and property taxes are not fixed costs. The home may pass inspection, but how long until the furnace, a/c or roof needs to be replaced? The Loomis you intended on buying this month may have to on the back burner, you have a plumber coming out or a similar situation. Not an intention of a political debate, but there is talk of changing the tax code and maybe the elimination of mortgage interest deduction. If the home can be bought right, building equity is a good thing. I'd probably look for a smaller place and live alone, rent or buy.

I Need Advice Fast!
Criminal records are public record, there are a number of web sites that you can check your own background for a nominal fee. If nothing shows up, keep quiet, if something does then make a decision on your course of action.

Renters / Tenants Rights ???
As a renter you are entitled to reside in the property for the time period paid for and as an renter you are a victim of this pending foreclosure. IMO only the renter who's name is on the lease has any rights and a renter can not put the home up for sale, as they don't own it. Either the owner or the bank will put the home up for sale, conventional wisdom would think a bank would like the home occupied, easier to sell and maintained to a certain degree. But conventional wisdom these days is not what it used to be. Having the master bedroom and garage you may be paying more than 1/6 of the rent, doesn't entitle you to any more legal consideration, unless you are the lessee. Trying to stay in the home probably is delaying the inevitable, move now and be done with it.

Braid And Knots For Topwater Baits
My improved clinch knots never slip and it's much simpler to tie than a palomar especially with a larger lure. I personally will always use a leader with braid, if for no other reason than the occasional foul hooking of the front trebles, a leader is much easier to unravel than braided line. Using a leader I tie an ordinary clinch to a top lure, other lures it's a loop knot, both knots hold like iron, regardless of fish size and weight of vegetation I'm dragging in.
