  2. gheeze wayne i love fishing the power line .. its soo cool to see a pic of what it actually looks like
  3. amazing bait had a lot of luck in baby bass
  4. man wayne it must be awesome to to have that side imaging in briery. you can actually see all the stuff down their. so when do you think they will be kicking into gear i figured about mid march, but if we keep geting in the 50s in the day it might be sooner
  5. the stumps at briery can get mighty frustrating at times. its a great lake though and not that big, and you dont have you go far to get from one good spot to another. i havent seen any one with a big motor down though... well once, but he only used it to get off a stump.
  6. river2sea bully wa is really good to i defiantly feel like they hook up better than the spros. http://www.***.com/River2Sea_Bully_Wa_Frog/descpage-RBW.html and tackle warehouse just so has them 20%off ... ;D ;D
  7. their aright.. tip heavy. you can get some good deals on them at dicks they should run a rod sale soon i got mine last year for 20bux off. i got the 7mf plastics. its ok. i do got a carrot stick im tryen to sell if you intrested send me a pm.
  8. briery creek http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/waterbodies/display.asp?id=21 awesome lake and probably your best bet to get a dd in va, in my opinion
  9. just got 4 of each of the hogs and 1 pack of curl tail shad and some 9 in lee-zards. thanks alot guys what am i gunna do with 710 pcs of plastic... o well 2ct a pop
  10. on just two of the breaks(revo s, or shimano vbs style). one break seems to lil and two i feel like i lose some distance. i use zero on my abu c3's and seem to almost to be able to cast as far as a mid range lp bait caster(although they do not do as well with the light work). i dunno just seeing if anyone out their had tryed it or not.
  11. has anyone ever tried to take some material off the centrifugal weights. i was thinking that you could just dremal some material off each side and still be sound. but do ya'll think it would actually yield any gains in distance. too much time cooped up, need to get on the water so i stop thinking about things like this.
  12. yah i think its along the lines of a low profile royoga (sp?). looks like it holds about 100yrds of 20lb test, so my guess is a heavy duty deal kinda like revo toro (low profile but big reel performance). with that salt barrier thing probably for some salty stuff too way to rich for my blood though. lol does kinda look like a core
  13. i dunno kinda like it, reminds me of ken blocks old subie. when they come out ill proll pick one or to up. need some suped up lime green and white revo s.
  14. reading the fish finder correctly, and setting it up correctly. other than that deep fishing ... never can get it right.
  15. defiantly pulp fiction
  16. tt had a big write up on it this it a few at different temps Lube....Viscosity (cP) @ 38F.........@78F........@ 98F (cP) Yellow RF ........................285..............59..............35 3-In-1 Oil.........................161....... ......40..............20 Quantum Hot Sauce........100..............25..............16 linky http://www.tackletour.net/TTForums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=29216&p=280276&hilit=quantum+hot#p280276 neat stuff
  17. i haven't even had a decent chance to go yet either the weather has been horrible or the water was hard. hopefully it warms up so i can get out on briery for some pre-spawn before the end of February. thats if it ever stops snowing.
  18. sorry for upside down the last one is a 6/0 1/4ounce i think a lil heavier weight makes it have a better keel effect. still it depends on what they want that day
  19. i really like these http://www.***.com/descpage-OWBWT.html For smaller ones id say 5in or smaller(and super flukes) http://www.***.com/descpage-GSEGW.html if you want a screw lock. althought i found that if your using braid and get those dig in backlashes you pretty much rip a good part of the nose out( keep some glue handy) but they seem to give a better action cause theirs only on point that holds the bait in place. http://www.***.com/descpage-GSSL.html and i really want to try these http://www.***.com/descpage.html?pcode=OFSCP the blade probably acts as a good keel i mostly have used sk shadalicious, matt minnow, reacton strike ??, netbait bk. really want to try the swimming fluke
  20. yep just started again ... sleet turning to snow tonight, ugg when will it stop. Oh and another 10+ Friday or Saturday, i thought this was VA not NJ. > > >
  21. hey sam don't go to the one in midlo they've had the same stuff on clearance for like 5months. Dicks had some rapala's on clearance but they were still like 5 bux a pop. once the snow clears head out my way got to the trading post in cumberland hes got a bunch of stuff and last i checked all the fishing was 25% off.
  22. seems like a pretty nice rod for the price and havent heard any one talk about it much. so does anyone got one or handled it ... thanks, john
  23. you can do a whole lot. Bearing upgrades, drag, repace the spool with one of these. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://thumbnail.image.rakuten.co.jp/@0_mall/proshopks/cabinet/abu-elitecb-spool.jpg&imgrefurl=http://item.rakuten.co.jp/proshopks/abu-elitecb-spool/&usg=__FxEDD8II8sGkd7ieg2fmy5-qvrY=&h=369&w=550&sz=40&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=Yq_pdkMw_fQ0HM:&tbnh=89&tbnw=133&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drevo%2Bcb%2Bspool%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1C1GGLS_enUS362US362%26um%3D1 if i remember correctly its a 2pc spool so you have to get the part from the spool tension knob that contacts the spool.
