^were did you move to in central va chick lake is a hike and a half for me its 30-40 min to sandy/briery for me and about an hour if your coming from Richmond and their both great lakes

i can see why to be ticked at g-loomis. but shimano still has an over the counter warranty so shipping or anything. i know its their parent company but its still its own deal its probably just shimano price gauging so you buy more shimano and the people that are g-loomis head will still buy it anyway. it does suck alot for people with loomis rods now or ones that are discontinued.

we could do swift creek its just an electric only. but still dont have much for shore fisherman unless they have permission to fish in woodlake or b-mill, plus its probably a pain for any one to launch with a jon at the public ramp. i dunno options so far 1. sandy river res 2. briery (no tourny) 3. swift creek 4. well summer fishing can get kinda dull and well theirs alot of people from central va on here. so,say sandy river reservoir sometime in the up coming weeks. any one intrested?

works good and is in a convenient container. but i belive all it is, is pvc pipe glue or cleaner one hopefull someone can correct me on that. but it will save you a bunch of soft plastics.

just curious is that voltage under load or just sitting still ... my trolling motor at the end of the day will show on my fish finder that its pulling around 11-11.5 volts under load and then rebound up to around 12.2+. i have had it dip into the high 10's but its and old battery and plan on replacing it anyway's.

went to briery today ... not much luck water is pretty murky and saw some more dead fish. overall better than working.

lately its been briery creek 1. get up at about 4:30 2. grab some breakfast 3. launch the boat, run up or down lake try not to hit any stumps. 4. frog, lunker punker 5. sun is up more work creek channels with t-rig plastic, jig, wacky worm. 6. try to decide why i dont night fish and why its 90 degrees at 9am in the morning 7. gatoraid, nabs 8. sunburn 9. hudd on the poweline 10. rinse repeat

i have the 6.8 m xf its great for 1/4 jigs or pitching small t rigged plastics . i dont think you could go wrong with a cumara. great warranty but their are alot of great rods out their so dont limit yourself.

just curious wayne was it recent that you had some thing pushing the state record or was it a while back ... just wondering i hear so many things for old timers in my parts that its gone down or gone up. ive only been able to fish the for about 2 years with a boat and getting a gas motor this year defiantly made a difference.

how deep are you getting them to go i picked up 10 of em at dicks when they were on sale ... their advertised to go 17-20 something like that ... good to hear though might just have to tie one on now

id try the 7.3 mh moderate action ... seems to do the job for me

you probably want to up it to 50 but 40 will defiantly not dig in as much. you got to remember 20lb braid is about the same diameter as 6lb mono so its pretty then 50 is about the same as 12lb

7ft mh with 50lb braid and either a superline straight shank or ewg depending on my mood 8-)
