Saying that there was a 28lb bass in my home lake in my first post and then not being able to follow up with a pic (ouch). I was like "Welcome to BassResource.com Cap.t O,Now keep your mouth shut till your a 100% sure about the facts" I kinda came off as a B.S. which I hope that has changed :-/

Jeff H the All Stars are cheaper. What do mean by "stiff" ? And would it be something to worry about?

I've final decided to pull the trigger on a high quality rod. I've got it down to these two rods, I'll be using it for an all around rod and it will be paired with a Pflueger Trion. Which one ??????????

There is nothing to be worried about! This whole thing is being blown out of proportion by the media. There are only five cases of this flu and even then they are just "flu like symptoms" and those cases are doing very well and the are expected to recover 100% You can rest easy nothing is going to happen. LBH he lives in Texas, we call 3lbs bait down here ;D LOL Man if your already catching fish you only need to make your bait bigger. I know you've been using 7in mag fluke, but get a 7in Lake Fork Tackle live magic shad. This bait is bigger and can be fish like a fluke. If that doesn't work try a 8in floating worm, these seem to produce at least one or two really nice fish when the bite is on. Capt.O

A friend of mine once got his horn wired to his brake pedal......three weeks later he was taking turns at 30 mph, we had to tell him before he got himself killed........he still doesn't know who did it.

I love floating worms! And you can catch some real giants on them. I like a dark yellow or a clear bright pink, they seem to work the best.And believe it or not I like it when they don't float, most of my strikes happen when the worm falls just out of sight. They are a deadly tool for LM bass, learn how to use them. Capt.O

I know of a place and it did not fail but is going strong. The problem is that they also fix things like blenders and stuff which I think gives them a majority of their business. If your going to do somthing like this your going to have to have another source of income to keep it going. Just my $0.02

OK the time has come for me to do what I do best.....Stating the obvious. Here it goes...... No matter what we say or do, nobody can prove that Perry's fish did or didn't weigh 22-4 pounds. All we have to go on is that Perry said that he weighed the fish and it weighed 22-4 pounds. Therefore, until we can prove without a doubt that the fish didn't weigh 22-4, we must believe what Perry said the weight was. The record is 22-4 pounds that's all there is to it. Now I know some people have said how Weakley's, 25-1 pound bass is the world record. If we had let it slide that the fish was foul hooked and given him the world record; then we can put our selves on the same shelf as the MLB, who closed it's eyes when somebody broke a record while breaking a rule. Then saying "Hey people want to see a record broken....so let's all pretend that everything is alright and let it slide" Sorry, that isn't right! A record that is broken by cheating is a record that still hasn't been broken! I'm not saying that Weakley cheated, but a rule was broken when that fish was caught. That means that the fish can not be applied for the world record. It's just a hard cold fact. If you want to win, you have to play by the rules. If anyone of us goes out tomorrow and catches a bass weighing 24-3 pounds would we say "I'd like to apply this fish for the second biggest caught even though the record is 22-4 there was a fish that weighed 25-1 so that really is the biggest" NO!!!! You had better believe that you would be applying that fish for the world record because you know that 22-4 pounds is the real, long standing record that has never legally been beaten! OK I'm done Capt.O
