  1. the ones Thedude88 posted about are great! I use them on all my spinner/buzzbaits
  2. I have two cant beat them for the money. I did have a small problem where it took freaking the jaws of life to adjust the spool tension. But I think they fixed it with the new models. Get you one you wont regret it!
  3. Two of my goals this year was to beat my PB(about 3 lbs, aint been fishing long) and to catch a bass on a jig. Well 2nd trip out to a new fishing hole I see the best cover ever, it just screams big bass. Well all I had was my 7 foot med. action carrot stix so I was like what the heck theirs no way I'm not going to fish this. So I tie on a small 5/16 oz BooYah bed bug jig and start pitching. 3rd pitch BAM 4 lb bass. Was scared to death when I set the hook cause I was using a spinning rod with 8lb test. But boy what a fight I was so pumped. But now I got a flipping stick on the way(so I dont have a heart attack when fishing near thick cover) and ordered some more jigs now that I have some faith in them. Just thought I'd share going to try and get a pic here soon.
  4. Hey thanks a lot! Had it come in the other day and used it for the first time today. Got 2 bass on it and I love it. I just love the Daiwa LT line now. Plan on getting the flipping or frog stick within the next week or so

  12. hey guys friend of mine just got a boat and he wants to test it out this weekend. The lake were going to is a Metro Park lake its about 46-acre and get a lot of fishing pressure from the bank. I wanted to get your views on what lure I should use. Should I bunker down and throw a small jig or a normal sized one all day and hope for the best? never really fished a jig that much but from what I've learned here it cant be beat and cold water. Thanks guys as always you guys are lots of help!

  17. Hey looking at buying a Saros but dont know what to get. The 2500 or 3000. I just plan on using it for small/light baits with no more then 8lb line. Want to keep it small. How much bigger is the 3000 vs. the 2500
  18. Hey man check ebay you can get them for $69.99!
  19. Hey, I'm in the same boat you are but these guys on the forums have helped me a lot! I was looking for the same advice and what I've come up with from all the help here was (thinking you mean spinning gear) is a 6 1/2 to 7' med rod for finesse. As for reel I'm stuck too. Just posted a topic about it but I was thinking a 2500 Symetre or maybe the new Pflueger President. As for line I don't think you wanna go over 10lb test. Not sure on your preference on rod's but hit up e-bay and go to SIMMONS SPORTING GOODS page. Lot of great deals there. Also look at the carrot stix's on their page listed as 149.99 but make an offer you can get it cheaper trust me I did
  20. thanks guys! just ordered a 7' med/fast carrot stix
