  1. wife caught another pickeral yesterday at mill pond. i took my buddy from work there today after work and he caught two perch and a crappie. first perch was pretty big. then i ended up hooking my freind in the back of the head. he wanted to keep fishing but i figured i had done enough damage for one day.
  2. nice one. we havent had any luck since friday. i had a small bass get off yesterday at mill pond. we tried the nashua river behind margaritas today but the water was way too high and the current was too fast. we also tried the merrimack river in hudson but didnt have any luck.
  3. i got mine at "petes gun and tackle" in hudson. its around $20.
  4. its on musquash rd. this was only our second time there and our first time that it was actualy fishable. it gets overgrown with lilypads in the summer. i wouldnt waste my time unless you are just looking for some privacy. its pretty secluded. if you havent yet, you should pick up a copy of "CLARK'S NEW HAMPSHIRE FISHING GUIDE." it has pretty much every body of water in new hampshire that holds bass and isnt private. to me its the bible of nh fishing.
  5. good job man. i just came back from shore fishing mill pond. i caught a pickeral.
  6. thanks jaystraw. went out today and tried the nashua river(thanks to unhbass) and caught one. then we headed over to musquash pond in hudson and my wife caught one. i guess the fishing season has started.
  7. no, but were going to pick up a scale this weekend. hopefully we keep catching ones like this.
  8. we'll probably see you there. we are definetly going out tomorow since i have fridays off.
  9. wife got one today. we went after reading unhbass's post. caught this one to the right of the launch. another biggy.
  10. great job!!! where in mill pond did you catch him? maybe he was my fishes neibor. are you going there this weekend?
  11. i know the ramp above the mines falls dam, but there is also one on winchester st. off exit 6 furthure up. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=tilton+st+nashua+nh&sll=42.713234,-71.550672&sspn=0.008372,0.021887&ie=UTF8&ll=42.745956,-71.51722&spn=0.008367,0.021887&t=h&z=16&iwloc=A&layer=c&cbll=42.745882,-71.517143&panoid=KHjTYgN5pAn2pOCetcWqhw&cbp=12,156.50008756480764,,0,-3.1176470588235316 you could also launch a car topper/canoe in hollis right after the rapids by rt111/111a. (depot rd., there is a trail to drive down and put your car/truck) http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=tilton+st+nashua+nh&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=36.915634,56.25&ie=UTF8&ll=42.713234,-71.550672&spn=0.008372,0.021887&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=42.713163,-71.550616&panoid=yaqELOnFvzeiNfjh6aH7MQ&cbp=12,17.821743715981682,,0,0.1470588235294164
  12. really?! how far have you gone up from the mines falls dam and how long did it take? do you use an anchore? what lures were most productive? do you know where the launches are off rt.6 in nashua and in hollis by 111/111a? ive thought about drifting down from these spots and getting picked up at the launch by the d**n.
  13. unhbass37, what size motor do you have on your boat? i was thinking about picking up an old gamefisher 5hp just for fishing the nashua river. i dont think my trolling motor will be enough to go upstream. ive also heard about people catching 7 pounders between the mines falls d**n and hollis rapids stretch of the river. this is supposed to be the most productive part of the river im told.
  14. had good luck at horseshoe pond last year with crankbaits working the docks. what part of the nashua river do you fish? weve tried from hollis to the merimack river shore fishing and have only had luck below the dam behind margarita's. caught a couple smallmouth there with my neibor.
  15. it was a 5" yum tube, smoke with red flake. you can get them in the bargin bin at sports authority on amherst st. in nashua. i didnt use the weighted hooks that come with them though, i used a 2/0 worm hook and t-rigged it, weightless. caught him in front of the big tree in the water to the left of the boat ramp. we tried eayers pond in hudson yesterday too. ive never caught anything there but i keep hearing these stories about huge pickeral hitting top lures there. most of the pond is less that 2' deep and the deepest part i found was 8'. it is imposable to fish once the lilypads start gowing. the sun turtles were eveywhere. another place we tried was otternic pond in hudson. we caught a few bass there last year in the fall and my wife almost caught a HUGE pickeral(broke the line). the millfoil is so thick around the edges in the summer you have to padle out to the middle to use any kind of motor. we fished the weed edges last year but there were no weeds yesterday. where have you had luck?
  16. thanks. caught it around 5:30pm dragging a tube across the bottom. tried everything else for over an hour without any luck before catching this badboy. water temp was 49*.
  17. made it out again today with the wife. hit a three different places with no luck and ended up back at mill pond. caught my new personal best LM. ive never seen a bass this big before. guy on shore had a scale but it didnt work, but we figure 5-6 lbs. what do you think?
  18. thanks. we fished from the shore. fish were caught near the canal. we are going out tomorow, but not sure where. hoping to take the boat and get some experience with the fish finder.
  19. went back to mill pond today and tried a spinnerbait and tube with no luck. my wife insisted on using a rapala floating minnow. heres what she caught;
  20. me and the wife managed to launch our 12' jonboat without getting our feet wet at flints pond. they dont allow outboards due to the milfoil, but we use a trolling motor. this was only our second time there. lots of millfoil and pickeral in the summer. plan on cleaning your bait after every cast. what did you use to catch that bass at mill pond? what part were you fishing? have you tried robinson or otternic in hudson?
  21. sorry for the lack of introduction. im tom from nashua, nh. me and the wife went fishing at flints pond in hollis yesterday around 4pm. i was hoping to at least catch some pickeral but i only managed to get a yellow perch 3 feet from the boat. we tried jigs, spinerbaits, rapala dt-4's, and senko's. we tried mill pond today for a half hour, but it was raining to hard to really enjoy it. got to try my new fish finder though. if the fishfinder was right, there were some big schools around the 20 ft depth. we fished horseshoe pond in merrimack last week and got skunked too.
