  1. catchbigbass, did you have any luck at mill pond today? we caught 3 pickeral, 1 bass and 1 perch at flints last night, 3 pickeral at nutts today, 1 bass at mill pond, and 1 at round pond. nothing worth photographing except for this overly ambitious guy.
  2. nice!!! was that at robinson?
  3. went to "new secret spot" and locust pond in tyngsboro today. wife caught 3 bass at the first spot and 3 more pluss a pickeral at the second. i caught two bass. nothing big.
  4. where is the boat launch in goffstown? we checked behing the (lions club)ballpark, the park&rec area, and behind irvine gas. couldnt find it.
  5. we didnt bring the fish finder. there is a cove to the left of the launch that looks real good but it is too shallow. my wife caught hers to the right of there. i caught mine towards the back. by the time we reached the back of the pond it was time to leave so we drove the boat right through the midle to the launch. i threw a dt-6 and the wife threw a spinnerbait but didnt have any luck. judging from our anchore rope there are spots 30' from shore that are around 15' deep. we just fished the pads ands shoreline before we ran out of time.
  6. we went to stevens pond and my wife caught a couple pickeral under the bridges. we fished the shore and had a few bites but never hooked up. stevens pond has lots of pads and grass, just like we like. afterwards me and the wife headed to nutts pond and each caught a bass. my wifes bass was just under two pounds(looked bigger, need to check scale). mine was smaller. i had one come off at the boat. anyways, it was nice going out and exploring new waters even though it was rainy and windy. we will definetly go back to these ponds.
  7. i have the clarks book. it doesnt have everything. we really like fishing smaller bodies of water. if you look at google maps youll see there are small ponds eveywhere. we like to adventure. heading to stevens pond in manchester today.
  8. 5 more from the new spot in less than an hour. cute little buggers, nothing worth photographing though.
  9. me and the wife were looking at google maps last week and we found a body of water in nashua that looked shore accessable, so me, the wife and my son took a small road trip tonight to check it out and my wife caught two bass right away on a spinnerbait. i ended up catching six on a rapala floating minnow, wich is the most bass ive ever caught in a day. my son had the biggest fish of the night come off at the shore. everything we landed was under a pound, but it was real fun catching six fish in 45 minutes, especialy from the shore. this is our new secret spot. this has brought my confidence back up. catchbig0bass, i didnt catch any bass last weekend and my wife caught a 2-3/4 and a 3-3/4#'er. my rythem was off and i could barely cast without scaring the fish and my wife practicly had them jumping in the boat. things will get better.
  10. we went to beaver pond in hollis this afternoon and fished the shoreline for about an hour without any luck. yesterday i snuck out to Brox sand and gravel in hudson and got skunked. we are trying to find new water. if the rain lets up long enough friday we are going to try stevens pond in manchester. we check out the launch last week and its long and shallow. anyways, fyi, the boat launch at otternic pond in hudson is closed because they are treating it for exotic plants(fanwort&millfoil)
  11. count me and the wife in.
  12. i was going to say we should team up and use my boat, but my wife is going to break her plans(bridal shower for ex-coworker) and go with me. me and you should definetly go fishing sometime though. ide like to learn how to fish for bass other than pounding the bank and fishing the pads. maybe we could follow you up or prefish the spot together before the tourny since were both from nashua. anyways, in an attemp to find a new fishing spot we tried to get on ezikal pond in derry. the access is overgrown with weeds and it would have been impossable with our boat. we went to scobie pond in londonderry for a second time with no luck. found out from locals its more of a crappie pond. we also tried beaver lake. this place is huge compared to what were used to. the whole shoreline is developed and we forgot the fishfinder so we were just overwhelmed. we tried everything from crankbaits to spinners and my wife caught two small pickerals on a small jig/grub.
  13. only real luck i had this weekend was not getting bit by this angry beast. krikey, these things are ornery!! me and the wife went to "quarry pond" in londodnderry today. we threw spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and t-rigged worms with no luck. we ended up throwing on some nightcrawlers my neibor gave us and caught a couple sunfish before it started to pour.
  14. you should create a new thread for this. im intersested but both my fishing partners may have other plans that weekend. is it open to teams or just individuals? if no livewell how do we prove the fish we catch? pictures? you going unhbass?
  15. weve only been to tinker rd a couple times. we never caught anything, but never gave it a good try either. we are spoiled from having the boat. there is a trail around mill pond. this pond has the most shore access ive ever seen. me and the wife went to our spot tonight and she kicked my a**. i caught a sunfish and had a big pickeral come off at the boat. she caught 4 bass and had a couple come off at the boat. one of her bass was 3-12 and the second biggest was 2-12.
  16. you can fish penechuck on both sides of tinker road. weve been there a couple times and theres always other people there. no one seems to mind and there arent any no tresspassing signs there.
  17. well, curiosity got the best of us and we went to all 3 ponds by the telegraph tonight. the telegraph side is now posted "no tresspassing". it wasnt like this last year when i tried it. we fished for about 45 minutes(8-8:45). my wife got 3 strikes and i had 1 hit but we couldnt get anything to shore. we saw a couple fish hit the surface and were wishing we had brought some floating minnows. theres nothing wrong with mill pond, the weeds are just getting thick. there is a path around the whole pond. fish every spot you can get access to. we have fished the 2 ponds off west road twice and not had any luck. is it possible to put a boat in the quarry pond? unhbass, the nashua telegraph is in the industrial park behind tire wharehouse in hudson. if you pull in there parking lot you will see one of the ponds( the one that is posted). if you go to the opther side of the pond you will see the other one. the 3rd pond is down the street on the left.
  18. mill pond in nashua was great earler in the year, but last time i went i didnt catch anything. whatever you use in there will have to be weedless. the weeds are getting thicker by the day. the fish in my picture was caught at mill pond. ive fished the nashua river twice this year but only caught one fish. my neibor took his boat there last sunday and only caught a crappie and a yellow perch. ive shore fished beaver lake in derry by the side of the road a couple times but never caught anything. my wife caught a bass on our boat at musquash in april, but i doubt its even fishable now with the lilypads grown in. eayers pond in hudson is simular to musquash weed/ depth wise, but we havent caught anything there. bet there is at least pickeral there though. there are at least 3 ponds in bensons park. i caught a big pickeral in the pond to the left a few weeks ago.(atleast 2-1/2#'s) if you look at google maps there is a pond off of bush hill road(10 minute walk into the power lines) in hudson that has some shore fishing area's. my wife caught a 2# pickeral there. check yourself for ticks afterwards. there is limited shore fishing at robinson and otternic in hudson. ive caught bass at both but on the boat. last year i caught what i belive to be the only bass behind hudson speedway. fish the speedway side where the water comes in. let me know if you catch that fish, he should be over a pound now. you can shore fish flints pond in hollis, but there only a couple open spots. if you can find a way to shore fish the pond at brox sand and gravel let me know. seems like they are alway open and the signs say no tresspassing. theres also pennachuck water works off tinker road. havent caught anything there but i here theres big ones there and it gets better later in the evening. are you talking about the pond behing the telegraph? weve tried a couple different berkley products without any luck. all i can say is "I AM STRIKE KING" unhbass is the guy you should really ask. he the guy who catches the numbers.
  19. texas rigged, weightless. if your shore fishing, try to find a spot on shore so you are furthure out in the water, then cast down the side of the bank. try to keep the worm 1'-4' from the bank. cast anywhere you see lilypads. mill pond is in nashua, google it. also try the canal that is attached to it. our secret to catching fish has been to go as much as posible. good luck.
  20. true. im always optamistly off by at least a pound. just got a scale recently and would have thought this fish(the one in my picture at thebottom of my post) was a good 3#er. fish was actualy 1-12. either way thats a big fish you caught there and i would be proud!!!
  21. yup. seen plenty in beaver brook. type of sucker
  22. my wife would kill me if i was out from midnight 'till 6am. good luck. seriousely. openly not being gay should help in your quest to find another fishing buddy.
  23. got out to mill pond for an hour today. caught a 3.2# bass, a 1.2# bass, and a pickeral. hoping to get out to horseshoe pond soon. heres a pic of the 3#'er.
