  1. derek, looks like your enjoying your jonboat. me and the wife have fished stevens a couple times. we did good under the highway. you should check out nutts pond too. would you like to check out forge pond saturday?
  2. flints in hollis is probably too overgrown to fish now. ide assume flints in tyngsboror is the same. its been a while since ive posted, but last tuesday i caught a 4.5# bass in the nashua river above the mines falls d**n and three weeks ago i caught a 4.2# at lake potanipo in brookline. potanipo is open to the wind so bring an anchore. i got my big one to the right of the beach between the red marker and the pads. if you look down in the water and see an old wooded bridge your in the right spot. i heard forge pond in westford is pretty hot now but i havent been there yet. i got out behind margarita's d**n(nashua river) tonight and caught 9 smallies and a rock bass. nothing big but it was fun for a 1 hour trip. everything on a gold mepps spinner. derek, great job with your son at secret pond. i believe we caught 40 a peice when we went. let me know when you want to go fishing. im back online now.
  3. the nashua section is full of smallies. ive never caught anything over a half pound but it is full of them.
  4. we had a good time too. all i caught was perch, but my buddy caught a couple bass
  5. ok. powder mill at 8-8:30 it is. im taking a buddy from work so i do not have an open seat. should i bother bringing my little gas motor or will my trolling motor be enough?
  6. im down for whatever. i only have my 10footer so anything smaller than winnipesaukee is fine by me. i have limited internet access right now so if i dont respond to an pm dont think im blowing anyone off.
  7. i went to hopkinton lake for 3 hrs this from 8 to 11 am and caught 4 bass and a pickeral. nothing big but it was nice getting out by myself. there were alot of boats judging from the amount of trailers at the ramp but it didnt seem crowded though since the place is so big
  8. fished dubes once. water skiers were real anoying with alll there waves and stuff. got a couple in the swampy are to the right of the launch, but wasnt impressed enough to go back.
  9. derek, these where caught at the launch(from the shore) last year at massapoag by a guy i work with's son. how much do you think they weight? if anybody can top these i thought it would be you.
  10. off rt.89 in contoocook, nh. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=43.182148,-71.681714&daddr=Unknown+road&geocode=%3BFZfskgId0Ju5-w&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=15&sll=43.178894,-71.695232&sspn=0.023033,0.038409&ie=UTF8&ll=43.178769,-71.699781&spn=0.046066,0.076818&t=h&z=14
  11. i think we should plan another "NH bass resource get-together" hopkinton res sounds good but im down for whatever.
  12. last time we were there we couldnt even get one bass. i give up.
  13. last time i was there it was posted. off of spitbrook rd. its called sanders bae. bass pond is just past lovewell. youll see some big boulders on the same side of the road. park by the boulders. watch out for dog doo. follow the path down to the pond. those black snakes are not water mocasins but will bite. concord river in mass is the closest place to nashua that i know of. always good for a couple bass and pickeral. watch out for the old bridge cinderblocks in the water. youll know what i mean when you see them. fish the right side up to the back, then hit the water inlet by the hiway. it is extremely shallow so bring paddles in case you get stuck. wife caught a big one there too. texas rigged plasic in the pads down back. you can see the wake from the fish there before they hit.ive attach a map of bass pond. fish the beaver dams
  14. 1. ive tried to make it there too but coulsnt find any holes in the fence. i bet there are some smallies there if you can get to it. 2. last time i tried there wasnt a fence. you can access from the bus station side and there is a path down one side. any fish in there have been there for ever. the d**n prevents fish from entering from the merrimack and salmon brook is too shallow from feilds grove. ive fished there but never had any luck. there is also a spot that is very steep neer one of the buisnesses you can access. 3. never been there but i bet there are some smallies where the soughegan dumps in. btw, ive never caught any big smallies in the merrimack. 4&5. looks good to me. let me know. sandy pond is a great place to take a kid fishing for sunnies and perch. weve seen bass and koi there also. best spot to fish is on the retirement home side. the pond behind the speedway is a waste of time. one place ive been dieing to fish is bowers pond off of rt.3. this is the same body of water as harris pond, wich you can access from manchester rd in nashua. it is posted though. if you make it to the spot off rt.3 please post if it iis possable to get my 10' jonboat in there. you can also fish the pond at sanders in nashua till they kick you out. plead ignorant. there are carp in twin ponds at spitbrook village. did you try bass pond in dunstable?
  15. launched from the dam at freemon yesterday and caught 5 bass. still trying to find a good place to launch on nabnassett. hows the fishing on long sought for?
  16. can you tell where the dam is on nabnassett? we launched from the dam on freemon yesterday and caught 5 bass and a sunfish.
  17. i get home from work at 3:00. what time do you plan on going?
  18. caught 24 fish with my buddy at secret pond G last saturday. 3 bass over 2#s biggest being 2.14 and a 2# pickeral. fished the merrimack below the d**n in bow and got skunked. had a few small ones come off at the boat.
  19. i took a ride today after work to find a place to launch my 10' jonboat on nabnassett pond in westford. is there a better place to launch other than the beach/park off of birch st? i also found freemon pond(crystal lake) in chelmsford. i saw a bunch of pictures of big bass at a local conveinience store in chelmsford that also sells live bait, wich is cool even though live bait is not my style. where can we launch at freemon? thanks in advance.
  20. did you fish it from the beach/launch off of Birch st?
  21. i have a bbq i have to go to after my sons game. maybe sunday? we're going to secret pond G today. if youd like some help dragging your inflatable down we'll be there at 10:00.
  22. flints has bass, pickeral, yellow perch and sunfish. pickeral are the domanant species. pond is full of millfoil so you will need to fish weedless. horseshoe has been going down hill for a while. got skunked last few times i was there. natacook is slightly better but doesnt have enough action to keep my attention. we have also fished round pond in nashua and i would rate it between horseshoe and natacook. flints is probably my favorite local fishing spot. mill pond used to be good but i havent heard anything great about it this year. you can also catch just about anything in the nashua river. read through the "anybody have any luck in new hampshire" thread. it is full of locations where people have had luck. good luck.
  23. i really cant think of any ponds that i know of that dont have pickeral. i probably catch more pickeral than anything else at flints pond in hollis. its getting pretty thick with milfoil right now so you will need to fish weedless. we do good with t-rigged senkos there. heres a pic of a 2.5# pick my wife caught there.
  24. went fishing with my father-inlaw saturday at a small farm pond and we caught 30 bass. it was windy so i was on the trolling motor the whole 2hours we were there. nothing big, but the action was non stop. biggest fish was 1.14.
