anybody fish the concord river?
thanks, please keep me updated. we went back tonight and caught 2 bass, a perch, a crappie and a bluegill. i aslo caught my first pike. also, the boaters on this river have alot of class. we must have had atleast 6 big boats go by and none of them waked us. this was a first for me. it can get scary in a 10' boat when the 2-3ft waves come.

Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
good job everybody!!!. we went to the concord river again and caught 2 bass, a perch, a crappie, and MY first nothern pike. i caught him trolling with a shallow babybass crankbait on the way back to the launch. this is the first time in a long time that i actualy outfished my wife. all she caught was a bluegill on a spinnerbait. i lost a BIG perch at the boat. derek, you need to get your mass liscence. i heard there are some 6-7# bass in there. theres suppossed to be a hotspot about 2 miles south of the launch.

anybody fish the concord river?
last sunday me and my wife decided to fish the concord river off of rt.225 in carlile/bedford. we caught 5 bass averaging 1.5#'s and my wife caught a 3.5# northern pike. this was our first time there and we didnt remember our depth finder so we just casted towards the shore from about 20-30ft out. does anybody have any recomended spots or technics/lure suggestions for fishing this river. we'de love to catch a bigger pike. using anything other than a t-riged senco just dredged up algee. thanks in advance.---tom

Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
thanks. we also found a spot to launch after B&H Oil. a guy i work with has a brother who has water rights to the pond so we'll probably launch from his access too. heard marine patrol is there quite often. wonder if i can get a ticket for being a non-resisdent?

it was too windy for to take the boat out so we fished this bridge at arlington mill pond in salem nh while looking for a place to launch next time. we were only there for a short bit but we managed a few bass on senkos. this would be a good spot for someone who is shorebound. <http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=&daddr=42.835668,-71.226001&hl=en&geocode=&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=18&sll=42.835389,-71.22649&sspn=0.002895,0.006845&ie=UTF8&ll=42.835389,-71.22649&spn=0.002895,0.006845&t=h&z=18>

we only had a couple hours to fish today so we fished below the d**n behind margarita's in nashua. i caught two rock bass(first time ever seeing these) and one small mouth. then we went the mouth of the nashua river behind the skate park and my wife caught a couple nice smallies. all from the shore using senkos.

np. weve had our best luck for crappie using charctuce(yellow) strikeking mini-king 1/8oz spinnerbaits. you can also float a charctuce jig/grub under a bobber when its windy. that drives them nuts.

thats the place. im not advocating breaking the law, but we used to fish there quite a bit before we had our liscences. never seen any cops there, just people walking there dogs. the best spots are near the beaver dams. watch out for the black water snakes, there pretty aggresive. lots of sunnies in there too.

we get 99% of our gear from sports authority and walmart. theres also a guy in nashua, nashua rod&reel i think, that has alot of good stuff. if you are really just targeting bass you might be wasting your time at lovewell. i have fished there quite a bit and never caught a bass there. it is a great crappie pond though. if you follow the road lovewell is on a little further you will see some boulders on the same side of the road. there are some trails there and if you follow them down the is a small pond that has easy access all the way around. it is full of small bass. it is in dunstable, ma. although it doesnt have a name, we call it "bass pond". you will know your there when you see all the dog crap from people not picking it up when they wlk there dogs there. <http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=lovewell+pond+nashua&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Lovewell+Pond&ll=42.700573,-71.523507&spn=0.011606,0.02738&t=h&z=16>

i havent put a boat in there yet, but we should take mine there sometime. if i were you i would check it out first. its gonna take some effort to get back up the hill. me and my son fished it from the shore. it was one of my secret spots, but we got skunked the last few times we went. like i said, theres some big'ns in there. heres one i caught from the other side by the drain;

i usualy park in the dirt lot facing the canal by the gate. my son caught a 4 pounder there and i caught a 3 pounder. if you follow spine rd to the end youll see the river to the right and the pond to the left. theres a chainlink fence around the pond but theres a hole somewhere with a maze of trails that access the pond. wear your boots, theres alot of marsh. also, if you follow the trail along the river youll see a drain the goes from the pond to the river. fish the pond there. thats where i caught my 3 pounder.
