yeah I somehow missed that. The Okuma rods are around 100 and they are pretty nice. and a cardif 300 would pair up nicely. If you look around long enough you might be able to score a nice used calcutta for under $100.

so true and it is so frustrating when you get into a show and they stop in the middle for their fund raising.

My grandfather was the first to get me into fishing. After that me and my friend Jeff used to walk the local creeks and ponds for sunnies. One day I caught a bass, probably about 10" but I was so excited. That got me into bass fishing and from then on that is what we targeted and eventually evolved into an obsession.

Most importantly buy yourself a good pair. Many people on this site like costa's and I may someday get a pair. Right now I have wiley x P17's and I like them.
