Hooks For Bullet Nose Jig Mold (Doit Bdb-5-A)
The hook you probably are going to have to use is a 32786 in a 7/0. I do know that they make a 7/0 in the 32786. The problem I think you are going to have is fitting this in a 1/2 oz cavity. A 7/0 is a big hook in my opinion.

Did I Screw Up My Jigs?
Paint them with lacquer model paint. They will not be as durable as powder paint but the fish don't care and you're not going to sell them anyway. Next time pour them without the weedguard and then you can powder paint them with teflon pins inside.

Oil To Grease - Bearings
So what is the process on this? I have a Ranger trailer and I don't know if that matters #1 Drain oil, clean and add new bearings and grease seals, grease etc? #2 I believe it's called buying Vault hubs which are for grease? Any help on this info would be appreciated. Cost per hub to do this? Thanks in advance

Oil To Grease - Bearings
I have a 2007 trailer and like you "knock on wood" never had any issues with them. I too sometimes wonder if I ever lose oil, I would definitely be stranded, and if I should go to greased bearings. However I never changed them. I hear a lot of horror stories, but I also know lot of guys that love them. I so far like my oil cool hubs.

Using A Hand Welding Tool To Repair Bass Baits?
If you are referring to fusing ripped plastic worms, or putting on claws back on baits, well I used to use a battery operated soldering iron. First of all you go through a lot of batteries, Secondly it smells. However, it does do the job fairly well. With the advent of Mend-It, I would never go back to the soldering iron. Mend-It fuses it solid with no rework.

Fishing Skirts Sale
I was just on their website, I don't see any sale on any skirt tabs. Is that on sale as well or am I missing something?

The Four Wheel Drive Of Boats?
Here is my thoughts on my multi-species boat. When I was looking for my boat, at the time the other two boats that I was looking at was a Tracker Tundra and a Lund. The only thing I wanted more than anything else was to get away from 2 piece rods which at that time is what I used in my other boat. I fish with no bigger than a 6'8" rod, so I wanted to make sure that I could lay my rod and reel flat on the deck without it sitting over the bow. Yes I can lay a 6'-6" rod flat on my deck and a 6'8" between the windows, with out the rods moving, now this is on a 2007 boat, don't know about the new ones. The Tundra didn't cut it. I had to go to a 20 or 21 foot boat to achieve this. The Lund as well had a shorter bow and again I had to go to a bigger boat. If I had to go with a bigger boat, then I was paying the same for my 19'-6" Ranger than I was for the other two at 21'-0". So that sealed the deal for me. Also I liked the rear deck I was able to put on my boat to make it more like a bass boat. Not an option on the Tundra. Finally anything I wanted to add or change on my Ranger, it was no problem. Tundra and BPS did not want to swap items, you buy what they had and if you didn't like it, sell it and put on new. To me that was more of a headache than it was worth. Now as far as bow height to water. The deep "V's sit higher without a doubt. I will also tell you that when it is windy, my Ranger does catch some wind, but my other alum. boat was worse because it was light. Rangers are heavy. So back to the height, I would say there is 10-12" at the bow of the boat, and maybe 8-10 " at the stern. Yes I do use a net, because that is the way I always land my fish. It's really no big deal. Space at the bow and then the casting deck in the back. Finally my boat does have a full windshield. I don't have a problem with it, casting or otherwise. I have never hit my windows casting, and they have never been in the way for me. They do add weight to the boat, however when you are out in March or November by me and flying across the lake, it makes for a much more warmer ride. See pics below. If you want to talk more about this I can call you to discuss.

The Four Wheel Drive Of Boats?
I bought a Ranger 619VS in 2007. I love my boat I can fish everywhere any bass boat can. The only thing is that boats like mine are not speed demons. If you need the speed, don't buy a multi-species glass boat. My boat fully loaded with a 225, 9.9 kicker, Terrova bow mount, filled live well, three batteries with two people will max out at about 54 mph max on a calm day. I still love my boat even if I'm not the first one at the spot.

Thread From Jo-Ann Fabrics?
I would personally use Coats and Clark upholstery thread. Much, much stronger and won't ever break if you want to really bulge your skirts. Come in 5 colors I believe.

Long Rods
I as well do not like long rods. I've tried several and I find I have to use two hands to cast it. I bought a 7' Daiwa Tatula rod, and I love the feel of the rod wish it was more like 6'-6 to 6'8", then I could control it better. To each his own. I'm only 5'6, so maybe height has something to do with this as well.

Lake Delavan Information
I fish Delavan pretty religiously and the biggest I've got out of there was just shy over 5 lbs. I've never seen any fish out of there over double digits. I will say that a friend of a friend fishes there only at night, and he said he got several around 9 lbs. However I have never seen it so can't verify that statement is true. All in all it is a phenomenal fishery.

Boat Batteries?
You are going to get a lot of opinions from a lot of people. I truly believe that sometimes you can luck out with an outstanding battery and sometimes not I myself for a cranking battery hands down Sears Die hard Platinum. I've had (3) Interstates in 7 years and I'll pass on those. I also have had three sets of Interstates for my 24V trolling motor as well. I religiously maintain my batteries and I will take a pass on Interstates. I currently have BPS batteries for my trolling motor. We'll see how that goes.

Des Plaines River
Well I have the Des Plaines River next to me as well. The river is really low, as we have not had much snow. All the areas by me, I could walk through, shows you how low they really are. I don't know what you're going after, but I would cast out a bobber with a minnow and work it back ever so slowly, and I mean slowly Try to find some deep pockets. As far as if this is a good idea, well this statement is subjective. First of all I would definitely go with some one, as the water is really cold and if you fall or trip and you land in the water well you know what might happen. Also since the water is so cold your presentation has to be really slow. You might get bored, and since you just can't sit down and enjoy the weather well you might want to stay home and do some reading on the forums. Fishing season will be here shortly. Just hang in there.
