  1. I use 8lb Yozuri Hybrid Ultra Soft on Spinning and Yozuri Hybrid 10 -12 pound on my baitcasting. I got the recommendation from the guys on here and I love this line. Oh yes and KVD line conditioner.
  2. I looked there as well, and didn't see any 8lb. Search goes on.
  3. Don't see it there anymore. Called them up today and was told they no longer carry it? So I'm wondering if Yozuri stopped making it?
  4. I noticed I went to look for this line at my usual place and don't see it anymore. Are they still making this line? If so where are you guys buying it? Thanks in advance
  5. Like Mike Siebert said. You won't find a mold and no-one in their right mind will make one and copy it for you. It is illegal to even copy their product exactly for your own use. Either keep buying them, buy Netbait paca craws, or there are many other custom plastics guys that have a similar craw. I have used them all and they all work. One does not work better than the other in my opinion. If you put it in front of the fishes face it will eat it.
  6. You'll like your Tundra. I know a few guys that have them and never a negative thing about the truck. My next truck will be a Tundra for sure, I've always liked them. Right now happy with my 1994 F-150 with only 45K original miles.
  7. I have a dual flusher which I use on my 225 Optimax and 9.9 Pro kicker, never had a problem. Also you want to put the water on full force. Also if I remember correctly some motors also have a spot under the cavitation plate where it sucks water from the lake, so it just doesn't suck it in, in just one spot. Mine does take several seconds maybe 10 seconds before the water starts spitting out. However your single sided muff may not be enough. Just my opinion.
  8. There are a lot of good boats out there. Any one boat will not have everything you want. There is always something you would change. Find something first in your price range and look what you can get for the money you want to lay out. I looked at (3) boats in 2007 when I bought my Ranger 619VS multi species. I love my boat, but at the time I looked at Ranger Reata, Lund and Tracker Tundra. Each boat had its ups and downs. I am very happy with my purchase. Not a fast boat, but it is excellent in rough water.
  9. Ok, so here is my Long Lake report. Got on the water at 6:00 a.m. Started my usual a jig, nothing going on, my buddy was throwing a spinnerbait nothing there. I tried a different jig color, nothing, different trailer, nothing, rattle trap, nothing, shad rap nothing back to a jig got a couple of pick-ups fish dropped the bait. My buddy went through several different lures and different presentation, nothing. About 9:00 a.m. my buddy decided to put on a Carolina rig. 10 minutes later 1st fish in the boat a 17" bass. Another 15 minutes and another 17" bass. So I decided to put on a Carolina rig. I rarely fish this if ever, so this is a new technique for me. Got her all rigged up second cast a 16"er in the boat, about half hour later I got a 21" weighed in at 3 lbs 8 ozs. For the next two hours we slowly picked up fish after fish got a total of 12 bass that day from 16" t0 19" plus the bigger one. I am a very methodical jig fisherman, and I always catch fish on jigs. However, Sunday apparently the fish didn't like my presentation. They wanted nothing to do with it. What I noticed when I used my Carolina rig was that the bass wanted a free flowing more natural presentation and the Carolina rig was the ticket. Always learn something new when you go. Didn't take many pics below is the 3.8
  10. Going to Long Lake on Sunday. Will post results on Monday. Haven't heard anything about Delavan. My buddy was out on Geneva last Saturday for a tourney. Lot of limits with all fish over 18". He got (2) largemouth at 19" and (2) 21" smallies.
  11. I have (5) bait casters and 4 spinning signature series rods. I also have the Carbonlites in spinning for my wife. I love the signature series over the Carbonlites because they feel a little more sturdier. But I also like the Carbonlites on my spinning reel because they are very light. Both rods in my opinion are excellent rods and when you get them on sale, or do the Spring trade-in you can get a great deal. You won't be disappointed. I have Abu Revo Premiers on my bait casters, and Pflueger Supreme on my spinning rods.
  12. Went to Browns Lake on Sunday. My wife and I got (4) bass 16 to 16-1/2", (4) 15 to 15-1/2" and (2) 14" in 5 hours of fishing + 1 snakey hammer handle northern pike. All on jig and pig. water temp was 58 degrees.
  13. I have a Terrova, and it's like everything else. I never liked the cable steer, however they do respond faster. I also was never a big fan of the high pedals on the cable steer. But that is not an issue if you have them recessed. On my old boat, I had a Minn Kota power drive, and yes the turn time was slow. I love my Terrova, for what I use it and I wouldn't get a cable steer. Just my personal opinion. Depends on what you like and what you are used to.
  14. I see your from IL. If you want to go to the north woods and rent out a cabin, I used to fish St Germaine, Green Lake and the Chippewa Flowage. Excellent bodies of water. However I finally learned how to properly bass fish about 6 years ago, and I now only travel to S.E Wisconsin. Fishing right over the border is phenomenal. There are many lakes that have multi-species, and are filled with fish.
  15. Fished Tichigan Lake with a buddy of mine on 5-3-2014 opening day in WI. Fished from 8:30 AM till 1:30 PM. Very windy 15-25 mile winds, water temp 48 degrees. Not a bad day for the both of us. I got 10 bass and 1 walleye. (2) 13", (2) 14-1/2", (4) 15 to15-1/2", (2) 16-1/2" and one 16 " walleye. The 5 fish in the morning all caught on swim jigs, remainder fish and walleye caught on jig/pig. My buddy got 8 bass and 2 northern pike. Bass were from 15-1/2 " to 17-1/2". Northern pike were under 24" His fish were caught on a chatterbait, spinnerbait and a shallow crankbait.
  16. I use Mend-It as well. Great stuff. Like Tim Kelly said above you can stick together all kind of appendages and make any creation you want.
  17. If you heat it up red hot, you might be able to open it up, however when it cools, you will have hardened it and it may crack upon trying to close it.
  18. I live really close to the "Chain" in northern IL, and I don't fish it because of the boat traffic in the summertime. However Geneva and Delavan aren't much better in the summertime either. There are many lakes in S.E. WI, that are less crowded and are phenomenal fisheries. Don't get me wrong Geneva and Delavan are phenomenal but trying to fish at 10:00 a.m. on a Saturday is challenging. You can fish Little Muskego, Browns, Pewaukee, Madison Chain, Como and many more. Also Long Lake in IL has some huge largemouths as well.
  19. That's what I needed to know. Pm me what you are looking for as far as tutorials, and I will be more than happy to start you out on the right foot to safe pouring. PM sent again.
  20. If you are looking for piano hinges for rod locker doors, then get mill finish 304 stainless steel, you will only see the knuckle anyway. You can drill the holes to where you want. If you are looking for chrome hinges than yes they are very expensive. I would buy stainless steel hands down. If you are looking for hardware, then get stainless steel as well. If you have hinge leaf sizes I can help you find a reasonable place. Yes $28 for a hinge is very expensive, however depends how big and how long.
  21. I sent you a Pm. I have some tutorials for you if you are interested. PS I looked up your profile, and if you really are 13 years old, I think you should definitely get some parental supervision. I don't want to send you all kind of tutorials, and then you get hurt. Pouring jigs is not complicated, but it is very dangerous, and not to be taken lightly. I am willing to help you out but doing it like this worries me.
  22. If you are looking for 60 degree flat eye Mustad, the cost for a box of 1000 is approx.. $104.00 for a 4/0 hook. You will also have to have your tax number + you will have to pay shipping. If that price is too high than consider the Mustad counterpart Eagle Claw. Excellent hooks as well. If the Eagle Claws are too high in cost, than your on your own to find better hook pricing, because we've all been down this road and these are the only places where you will find bulk hooks at a really good price.
  23. Get Your hooks from Shorty's or Captain Hooks, both of them are the same company. They are in MO. As far as powder paint goes I try not to use Pro-Tec as it is very expensive. I have never used Eastwoods powder paint but I can't see why it wouldn't work. You have a PM.
