  1. I originally had a corded one, and then went to cordless, and now back to a corded one. You just don't get the longevity out of a cordless, especially when it's turning at such high RPM's. Also if you are using it for long term grinding, the cordless in my opinion just doesn't cut it.
  2. You can also try the Worth Co. and Hagens

I'm a deep diver cranker too. BTW that is some beautiful work there.
  5. Very nice Gman. I'm a big fan of black and blue colors, and of course the Poison Tail Jig.
  6. Big-O, If you are referring to Solidworks, then I will tell you one thing, I would never go back to any other software. Solidworks has so many excellent features, for sheet metal, all the flat blank layouts, Cosmos for stress analysis, and I do know they have a machining package, which I don't have since I don't use it. But I design all my stuff with it even fishing jigs and hook fits. I just would not be without it. Supposedly Pro -E is really good, but I have heard some negative comments about it. I can't say one way or another since I don't use it. But you will always have your Solidworks guys, your Pro-E guys and your Auto Cad guys.
  7. Big-O, Actually, I started out with Auto Cad, then Cadkey and now Solidworks. Along with that, I've used some CNC sheet metal software. I am a sheet metal designer and programmer. In my spare time, I am an obsessed jig maker, powder painter and also a fisherman. Mostly bass and walleye. BTW thanks to everyone who has welcomed me here.
  8. Barlow's had those also.

I'm new to this site , so hopefully I can add some info for everyone. I suck at hand painting eyes. So what I do is get vinyl electrician's tape, they come in all colors, and I use a hole punch tool that does 10 different sizes, for all my eyes, pupils, gill rakers and kill spots. It works really well, and it is clean and neat.
  10. Heard about this site a while ago, and finally had time to join. I know quite a few of you from other sites. You will see me poking in the tacklemaking forum, and hope to help answer some questions regarding making lead jigs and powder painting. Referred to this site by "Looks Like Sinbad".
