BasStar SpinTech Treble Hooks
I have recently begun using the BasStar SpinTech Treble Hooks. I am extremely happy with them, I was a little skeptical at first, but the first time I used them was during a tournament. That day, I had 18 bites and put 18 fish in the boat, placing 3rd in the tournament. The 2nd time I went 8 of 8 with fish up to 3 pounds. They are extremely sharp, stable and fish will not toss the hook once it sticks them. It will literally reaches out and grabs fish if they go after the lure. I truly believe these are the best hooks on the market and will help anyone hook and land more fish when using top water baits, jerk baits, crank baits or anything else you use a treble hook on.

College Bass Fishing
the only thing I dont like about it(I have not read it yet), is im not sure how they can really compare schools from all over the country. not that i would really disagree with any of at least the top 5 but how does UNT not even make the top 25 when they placed 2nd in 3 of the major events this year.

Which bass that got away hurt the most?
Mine was last weekend; I was fishing a tournament on Lake Sampson and Rowell here in North Florida. It was rainy, windy and cold. I did not pre fish or anything, I just went fishing, I was the only boat to go into Lake Rowell, and it paid off! I had a 3 pounder in the boat and my co angler had one over 6, we were tossing jerk baits in a creek mouth with school of bait. I stopped my jerk bait, and had a fish just hammer it, it rolled twice and was at least 8 pounds. I felt 3 huge head shakes and my line went slack. I got my lure back and it had the front and rear treble bent out straight. I was very upset t myself for letting it happen, but I still went on to weigh in almost 13 pounds and come in 3rd. but that fish would have given me the win. It's not the biggest fish I have lost but it is the one that hurt the most. Oh wait I remembered another that is tied. I was fish the FLW college fishing southern qualifier at Lake Okeechobee. I pitch a 12 inch worm up next to a grass patch, popped it free once and felt a thud. I set the hook and felt weight, a lot of weight. I was able to get the fish next to the boat with no problem and it was a 7 or 8 pounder. My partner was waiting about the net the fish. It shook it head one more time and the hook just popped right out. It was a killer blow, because to qualify for regional's it only took 9 and 1/2 pound and we already had a 3 pounder in the well. we ended up boating 3 of 6 bites and the other 2 we lost were both over 4, and to make it just a great day we were late to weigh in. So there are 2 stories I'm sure I'll never forget.

Need help with largemouth
take a jig and fish it very slow, let it sit and give it a quick jerk, and repeat.

Things that make you go hmmmmm?
My feeling is that PAA are more interested in the fish and anglers safety. FLW also allows nets, but BASS does not they think its more exiting to watch the guys go after the fish at the side of them boat. PAA is run by anglers, not business men, when you get big fish next to the boat with 2 or 3 treble hooks flying around it is dangerous for the fish and angler. thats my take, I would love to hear other peoples.

Bass fishing in Orlando?
im going to put this simply, every lake in florida has bass in it if its been there any length of time. just watch for snakes and gators. gators should leave you alone but snakes arent always not nice.

Bass Regulations? Minimum Size? Please help.
the rules in south florida ARE DIFFERENT! and yes there are talapia, I goto FGCU and have a handfull of lakes packed with Talapia, but they are had to catch and some are very large..... i might have to bring my bow back and get them that way.

Bass Regulations? Minimum Size? Please help.
here is my take on it, if I were you I would call FWC, I am in SW florida but have no interest in keeping fish so im not real worried. You can have 5 fish total, one of which can be over 14 inches, so the rest must be under 14. Expect for trafford and ockeechobee, where all fish under 18 inches must be release right away. make sure you red the book let, you will find that a lot of canals are considered attached to those lakes. and you dont want a ticket.

What bassattackerdad said is 100% right. Plus, you must be willing to put in the time, or you will get a bad rep and that's some thing you will never live down. Also remember pro staff means Promotional staff not professional staff.
