  1. let me just say this, cause what u just said kinda hit a nerve. I agree with you on most fronts, but as far as the not catching a fish point that is not valid at all. I have fish 2 of the tournys. one was Sante Cooper, I had never been there and it is very difficult to get on some ones boat that u have never been on, on water u have never seen much less fished, and go catchem. I did now ever bring in fish not many but a few. that is some thing u really cant talk on till u have done it. By the way you cant get any help from your boater so u are basically on your own. I truely hope u can fish some thing next year but please think through things you say before writing it, it could be ofensive to people who do fish and just so you know there are very good anglers who have zeroed at some of these. The same UF team who came in 10 at the College bass national championship and won the Sante Cooper tourny came in 24th with only 1 small fish at ockeechobee and the same Faulkner team who won the national championship a year or 2 ago Zeroed at ockechobee. Please just be careful with what u say. I do agree you should be able to fish but the way you are fighting might be the wrong way cause you could very easily upset Kevin Hunt and gain your self more trouble...... im Done :-X

yes! a big bass will eat a gator, have seen it several times..... but so will every thing else, watch for birds and a mudfish will love the look of that!
  3. Let me just say this, you are not the 1st person to have this issue, I can share my true feelings sence I do fish it. but there have been many issues with kevin with this and many other things. they have a lot of things going on that are very frustrating and made things real difficult for some people. also they have some rules that are not clear. If I were u I would find a partner with a boat and fish the Boat Us and College bass stuff, I found it much more enjoyable. How ever things could change, as it was FLW first year.
  4. I would like to say congrats to NC State on the win. The fishing was very tough, and keepers were hard to come by. Also the river was hard on boat as several including ours was broken down. finally they should get even more credit due to the fact that several boats fished the same area and most practiced in it. http://www.collegebass.com/
  5. 10 + pound cat fish on a black and blue jig suspended in about 10 feet down in 35 feet of water
  6. Has any one been to either lately, I have been out of town. I have a tourny this weekend and am hoping some one can tell me if rodman is still topped out, where the no wake zones are, ect. any info would be great.
  7. What all is neede for some one to get into air brushing there own lure, and where are some good place to get it?
  8. that is correct, however for most all tournys they will get get size waives to allow for any fish over 12inches to be weighed.
  9. nope, real tough, hydrilla topped out, fish schooled up in small areas
  10. if a fish is in clear, open water they will be very light. if they are in dark, dirty, or weedy water they will be darker, it just depends on what the fish is living in most of the time.
  11. I have fished out of both multiple times, and had the same choise as you(mine were used but same difference) and I picked the triton and could not be happier with my choise. it is a great boat and fishes so well. but you might have a different feel than I do so go look at both, see if they will let you test drive it(if they dont find some where else to buy it) the biggest thing is just make a choise that will you happy.
  12. it would be considered a tie and both names would go on the record. that is if every thing was done write with the weighing and what not.
  13. its great to have you, by the way for the price Bitters are the best soft plastics for the price.
  14. love the 5 inch, the only neg.is they are almost too soft
  15. i will give u a trick with power pro, soak it in hot salt water over night. it will make it less stiff. It is all I use and love it. and while I have not used fire line in a while, it was always very stiff and lost its color and I hated it.
  16. I fished the FBF Qualifier on the Harris chain, in the tourny I only had one keeper in 2 days, but i qualified me for the state championship as the fishing was horrible. but in practice we where killing the fish on Rage Tail anacondas. i had 2 fish who were not hooked, I was shaking them off and they started pulling drag and cutting down kissimmee grass. we shook off about 15 fish on the day before the touny. but there was like 3 inches of rain cooling the water and pushing fish extremely shallow where they were hard to catch because of the thickness of the grass.
  17. does the grass come to an edge?
  18. as several people have said, YES and No. No cause u have to be around fish and in areas where big ones live. Yes cause u have to also have a fish that will eat and put a lure on that fish.
  19. check out Big Bear Rods, they are not well know but make great rods for the price. or look at an ugly stick or berkley rod. they would all 3 make a great choise.
  20. I use excel
  21. just a normal florida gar.
  22. I am getting started in deep cranking, I was hoping you all might be able to give me some advice on the best line for it, and how to find bottom structure, like shell beds. Can u use a graph or do you just have to fish or what?
  23. let fish and game know, cause even if he did have a liceince. in florida, where you live of course. u can only keep 1 fish over 22 inches. a 9 or 11# is over 22 inches.
  24. I want to keep this public, cause I am fishing the College championship out there. I was hoping you all could give me some info on how safe to run the rive in pools 4,5 and 6 I believe its the pools near little rock. I would like to simply know how safe to run, what kind of fishing it is, and that kind of info. I am a little wary about going there nevwr haveing there before and just running it, due to the fact if I brake some thing, I have to pay for it!
