  1. looks like a long nose
  2. spoons, x-raps, top water depending on the weather. cut bait is very good too.
  3. What speed worm said is exactly right, you will catch alot of little fish but there are some good ones. Sat. there was and 11 pounder caught, and I have seen several 10's. on sat. during Wolfsons I fished rodman(along with about 300) other boats, the problem was I was not in the tourny. If I was I came in top 10 our biggest 7 went just about 18. :'( but it is a lake that you just have to fish alot and findem.
  4. up north we go buy the biggest devils horse they make and pitchem over the grass in the fall and spring and work them slow and consitantly and catch big fish 8-)
  5. i was gping simply off the fact that it is stated it is 23 inches.if u look at a calabrated golden rule, It is about 6 pounds
  6. I have had owls, and kingfishers grab frogs as I swam then over hydrilia, I also have caught water turkeys on top waters and a squirrel on a trick worm in my front yard, I was practicing casting pitched next to the tree and the little guy grabbed it.
  7. I would believe that, i caught the same 6# twice in 4 days, not on a bed or anything.
  8. at 23 inches it is between 5 and 7 pounds. it just depends on fat or skinny, ect.
  9. Tackleware house! it is much better than cabelas and at the same level as bass pro. It is mostly fresh water though.
  10. yeah, its called a dumby rig, we use it for hard to catch bed fish with either a jig or jighead on the bottom and normally a fluke on top.
  11. there are a lot of cars that get broke into esp on weekdays. Im going to put this simply dont run throught the stumps! you cant see most of them and they will mess up your day.
  12. I have 2 trips this summer of extreme lengths, i wanted to know what extra parts and stuff like that you all normally bring for your trailer on long trips?
  13. hannah park is good, and there are several wildlife management areas around the city with desent fishing. and there is guana but that is not bass fishing.
  14. that is the camp grounds, u can launcgh at kenwood, which goes right out into the channel the only problem is it has no security ect. al tough those grass lines near the campgrounds can hold good fish and u must have been there at low water. now you see any thing.
  15. I personally dont fish the deep water alot exept when they are schooling but the answer is yes, carolina rigs, cranks, texas rigs, dropshots, and traps all work good. also silver and gold rapalas and shad or chart. color hard baits. as for plastics watermelon seed, watermelon red, junebug and junebug blue tail are the best colors along with redbug and sour grape. Uvibes can be good texas rigged in the stump field. if u got any other questions let me know. 8-)
  16. there are 2 good places to launch, the Rodman camp grounds and kenwood landing. as far as fishing, it can be very fun or it can be hard. 2 weeks ago we had a tourny me and my partner caught 6 fish all day and they were small. thurs. we went and caught between 40 and 50. all between 12 and 21 inches. most fish will come one of 3 ways, fishing deep in either the old river channel or the bardge canal, flipping, or fishing the grass lines in 3- 5 feet of water. use natural looking worms. You must be VERY careful you cant see 90% of the logs only run in the marked lanes until you learn it. start either around the ramps or deep creek. there are big fish being caught right now. I have heard of several 20 pound limits in the last month and there was the 11 and half caught during wolfons yesterday. if you got any questions let me know.
  17. this might seem odvious but i saw some one do this today, if you use a lighter to melt the head takeit off the hook, the lighter cut the line and they could not figure out what was going on.
  18. I like traps at night but when I use a crank bait I use white/shad, chart. or black.
  19. jigs heads are good too
  20. they do float, and you can buzz them, this can be very good at times. I also fish them on a 1/16th to a 1/4 oz weight. they are very good to be swam also. all in all a very good bait, they will catch non agressive fish.
  21. carp or possibly a ver big gar
  22. let me present this, I have caught several bass that are blind in both eyes. so is it possible that there eye sight is not that big of a deal. I think there sence of smell and lateral line is there best sences while there eye sight is good, I dont think that it is there most crucial sence.
  23. i fish one in north florida, called kingsley. i find the acual grass lines, and either drop shot, through a trap and let it sink and rip it through the grass or toss a senco, if over about 12 ft deep I put a nail in it. I know people also toss suspending jerk baits like the x-rap, I never had much luck on it. Also a simple texas rig with a 3/16 oz weight and a red shad or Junebug Blue curly tail work very well.
