  3. I agree with Kidbee I also throw them when the water is clear.
  4. King Bass Fisher, Welcome to Bass Resource. The guys who posted above gave you some really good lures to choose from. I am bias with my lure choices, and chose a lower priced lure in compairison to some who choose Lucky Craft. If you are fishing a creek with alot of cover I'm assuming the water is probobly muddy which would lead you to a chartruse color. I would take Sam's suggestion and purchase a couple of different Manns Baby -1 as they are an amazing lure. Again if the water is muddy go with a brighter color.
  5. I'm fairly young, but I have several lures older then I. The Jitterbug is one of those. I really love the quality of the old Lures which were made here in the USA. Recently I purchased several new Jitterbugs and was shocked at the low quality of lures which comes out of China. I actually gave them away because I refuse to fish with something like that. I guess thats why I use Ardent XS1000 St Croix Legend Power Pro Line and USA made lures and plastics because the quality of other lures is simply lacking. I know you have the exceptions with Rapala, but in general when these companies (Rebel, Arborgast Pfluger) shipped overseas they lost alot. Eh thats my rant for the day haha. Good luck fishing them, and I hope some of you have the chance to fish the old Jitterbugs because they truly were a much better lure. Derek
  6. Yes Normans are known for the hooks getting tangled as well as needing tuned. They dont tank test any of their crankbaits before packaging. When one runs true though, they really catch some fish. I have had tremendous luck here in Ohio with the Bumble Bee pattern.
  7. Gelcote lures have VMC black nickel cone cut vanadium trebles. The Norman standard line have VMC bronze cone cut hooks. If the hooks are just a little bent I would leave them. Norman is by far my favorite crankbait that is made. I would take one over lucky craft and rapala every day of the week. Good luck fishing them. Derek
  8. Grimlin, I have several Booyah spinnerbaits and buzzbaits all in white and chartruse color. If you decide you dont like the wareagle I would trade you 1 for 1 anytime
