  1. Try some Sufix Elite mono..very soft and virtually no memory, and it's not expensive. TW carries it..
  2. O.K..1 more ?..are you keeping tension on the line while you retrieve.? If not, try it, it may solve your problem.
  3. I have a 3000, and still would not go any heavier than 10 lb test. Keep in mind, different brands in 10 lb will have different diameters, try to use something in the middle.
  4. O.K..is the line laying on straight, i.e. flat on the spool, or is the thicker at one end .?
  5. Are you closing the bail with your hand..? if not, do that.
  6. If you have a size 2500 reel, 12 lb is going to be a bit to heavy for that reel. Drop down to 8 or 10 lb. I never went above 8 lb on my spinning reels..and caught some fairly good bass on it, for years. Make sure to spool the line so it comes off the spool counter clock wise..
  7. What brand line. What is the lb of it. And, is it mono or fluro..? Lastly, when you spooled the line on, did you keep some tension on the line so it laid flat..?
  8. I tried it on a whim. Glad I did. Also, the camo color blends real well with the stained water we have..
  9. Once you go Diesel, gassers seem weak..haha
  10. Use a good quality line, and there's no need to put in hot water. Sufix Elite is one of them.

    Fun to watch...
  12. One of the Beatles favorite songs to play was Long Tall Sally, Little Richard had an influence on many bands. One of the best, will be missed. RIP..
  13. Owner ST hooks..TW has them..
  14. Had no idea. I just searched for a rod around $ 50.00. Think I'll Stop doing that..lol
  15. Berkley Shock rod may be what your looking for. $ 50.00 at TW. Never handled one, so not sure if they have a soft tip or not. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Berkley_Shock_Casting_Rods/descpage-BSCR.html
  16. Put a small piece of tape over it..

You might want to tell that to the 50 or so bass I've caught on them..
  18. You can always down size. Example, if you use a 6 or 8" worm, try a 4" worm. Also, you may want to, if you haven't already checked youtube in Japan, there are a lot of good videos to learn from.
  19. Baitcasting reels are very popular in Japan. It's still a matter of personal preference..
  20. There's no right or wrong answer. Use what you Like. Each reel plays a different role in fishing, and in certain situations, either reel will shine vs the other. I fished with 3 spinning rigs for years..but I finally broke down and bought a baitcaster. I currently own some of both.
  21. Have a look at the Irod Genesis II rods. Right at your price point, Great customer service, and the rods are imho worth more than what they cost. I have a few of these, check out the reviews on TW..
  22. Sure looks way heavier than that. Still a great brownie...
  23. A Jay..did you weigh that Beast..? Had to over 7 lbs..yes.?

I use Megastrike on all my plastics, especially my swimbaits. Bass seem to hold on to them much longer than without the scent. I've said this before, long time ago, Bobby whipped me up some Trout scent, which has long since been gone. To bad the trout is no longer available..
