  1. You have, in your choice of subject matter, brought up what is a question that at this time can be answered by no one. Size reached within Largemouth bass seems to have such an obscure answer that to this point we don't have much of an answer from all the research that has occured. As for intergrade bass, (genetically mixed northern and southern largemouth bass), they naturally occur east of the Mississippi from Florida to Maryland. What is know as the weather line, (Melbourne to Tampa, Florida) seems to be the northern extreme for guaranteed Florida strain bass. Perry's bass had three possiblities: F1, or integrade strain, which would have been a natural occurence - Florida strain, which would more than likely as not have been a transplant. Pure Northern strain which more likely than does not occur. As the adage goes: the professor is out to lunch on this subject today, but perhaps tomorrow will come our enlightenment. PS: Florida strain bass have successfully been transplanted to several areas west of the Mississippi. However in no time the dominant strain is more likely than not the F1. If, my knowledge had a bit of slip-up in translation from my brain to my fingers on the keyboard, it is because I am just home from a bit of surgery. Wait a moment! I am always using that excuse. :
  2. Come on you southerners: don't be rubbing it in. Going to have to check my eyelets this morning for ice, what with the starting temps of 54. Brrrrrr, can't wait for 9:00 when it will be 77, or noon at 82.
  3. It might help to know what you think outrageous is.
  4. Mr. Grigsby went through a triple by-pass surgery in 2004. Perhaps he is having problems with something else with his heart. The last show I saw he did look a bit gaunt.
  5. Complete Sea Star system: $759 - probably could be found for less. rivermarinesupply.com/xcart/catalog/product_10779_Teleflex_Seastar_HK6400_Hydraulic_Steering_Kit
  6. Caught three minutes from the ramp: And this:
  7. Gotta love it: another post of he said, my buddy said, she said, they said. Frst hand knowledge using them for years. Picky problems, but nothing unusual to the fishing industry. Oh, did I mention that I fish just about every day of the year. One of the best rides out there with more fishing deck that anyone. If you like it go for it.
  8. That's Pedro and he is extremely friendly. Likes to be tickled under the chin and kissed on top of the head. No french kissing allowed.
  9. Slow day on the Marsh: only 16 but the 9.5 and the 7.5 did help to ease the pain. Heavy fog till 11:00 but temps in the low 80's.
  10. Twas the night before Christmas, when out on the lake All the Bass were a studying all the lures not to take. The Chug Bugs, the Senkos, the spinner baits too Were some to look out for, these but a few. While back at my house, I was snuggled in bed; As visions of big ones, danced about in my head. A cast to some stickups, a cast to some weed Produced bass after bass, it was a Mecca indeed. I arose in the morning, tree lights twinkling bright My eyes full of dream dust, I was quite a sight. I gathered the family, and sat them down near For the tale of the bass trip, I wanted all them to hear. I regaled them quickly, with all that I caught The big ones the little ones the lunkers I fought. Their eyes were like saucers, as they listened with glee But there thoughts were on presents beneath our great tree. As I finished my tale I heard from my wife Merry Christmas dear family, And George, Get a life.
  11. I heard - someone said - it's rumored: Ah, to know so much and yet so little.
  12. No Peacocks, and no shore fishing unless you don't get caught. Your own boat: nope. Asking to fish for free in Disney is akin to asking for a free room to stay in. It's another money making source for the mouse.
  13. Cuz the fish are cuter than my wife, more entertaining, and more fun to chase. ;D
  14. Research is good if in fact the new person to this sport even begins to understand the format. Everyone was new once, and everyone asks the same questions.
  15. Does anyone that responded actually know anything about the particular motel in question?
  16. Then what you would have left is nothing. If the site is to be used as reference only then there would be no forum. Since we certainly can add very little if anything to what has already been said, then Bass Resource would cease to exist.
  17. Not if you are walking. This a 15 year old asking about the Peacocks, so I doubt that he is driving.
  18. Florida tags with rewards for turning in the tags. Different fish have different values up to $50. Last lake this was done on in our area was Blue Cypress lake. Presently there is a tag program on Rodman.
  19. Boat trailer brakes are hydraulic actuated, not electric. Nothing is needed to be done with the truck as the brakes actuate as the trailer surges forward. They will definitely help by taking some of the load off the truck.
  20. Is Paul still involved with Worminator? Does the company still exist?
  21. Get a scale - stop guessing. A picture is worth a thousand words as you can tell by all the posts but no one can guess with any accuracy the weight without a great deal of luck. A camera is a very deceiving instrument.
