The Custom Bait Paint Thread...
Here is how you make baby poop splatter back shads! Mix transparent dark brown and opaque yellow to get your "mustard/baby poop" color I just used a simple white primer then coated with baby poop! After that splatter the back with black and lime pearl!

Best way to clean airbush?
I have an Iwata brush and use mostly createx paints. I use the createx cleaner, but when I break the brush down and clean it there is still build up. I used lacquer thinner today and it seemed to work good. My question is there a better way to clean while brushing so it doesnt build up as much? Could I use denatured alcohol? Or rubbing alcohol? Also the createx cleaner smells like soapy water... is that all it is? Could I use hot water with a little bit of dish soap? Sorry for all the random run on questions, but you guys know a lot more than me!

Thinking About Starting
I got a Porter Cable 6 gallon "pancake" style compressor. It holds 150lbs of air doesnt cycle a lot and its terribly loud. They can be had for around 170$ and then I got an Iwata Eclipse HP-BSC airbrush, looking back I wish I would have gotten gravity feed, but I am happy with the brushes performance! You can find good deals on Iwatas online! I got mine at hobby lobby when they had a grand opening (they had coupons at 40% any item at regular price)

More Big Paints!!!!
go for it. rattles may be difficult unless you insert pre-made glass rattles. Thats what I was thinking, I think the premade rattles would be easier. However maybe I could put a few ceramic bearing in there, bc those would really make some clackin noises!

The Ice Craw
Yes - I made 3 stencil shapes for the body plates. do you use that stencil tape, or like a template style where you lay it over and spray it! For stuff like this, I use a stencil-making product called "Frisket." You can get it at Hobby Lobby. Clear, very flexible plastic with an adhesive backing. It comes with paper backing, so you can just stick it back on the paper when you're done. I heard about this stuff from BobP - - I really like it. For general on-the-fly body masking or stenciling, I just use 3M delicate blue painter's tape (orange inner label). Cool thx, I will check that out, I wanted to make a couple craw patterns, plus try the one you made. I think it would work well in the river I fish for smallys!
