  1. Avid, have I ever told you that you are my hero. (edited , smarten up.)
  2. decent size bass will rarely hit any kind of streamer so just invest that money on different popping bugs as bigger bass will hit these
  3. Jerkbaits, jerkbaits, and once you get sick of them a quick slap in the face and some more jerkbaits. I throw the 78 DD in american shad exclusively in pre-spawn
  4. Ben, your a great example. It means alot to a sponsor if you keep your nose clean and your brain heading in the right direction academics wise. GB- Tru-Tungsten was brought to me.
  5. First off, I want to say congrats on spelling SPONSOR correctly. Thats half the battle for most people and I'm totally not kidding A few tips on your resume. Potential sponsors dont wan't to hear that fishing is your passion, they want to hear only about what you can do for them. Another thing they like is to hear that education is a priority and that you consistently have good grades. I haven't posted a resume because I could care less about getting a sponsor. If they come, I want them to come to me rather than me going toward them. Just keep fishing and stay clean and stay in school and I'm sure you can get one. -Senks

way to go av! sounds like alot of fun and i'm sure its nice to be out there again. and i agree, bank fishing is a ton of fun! im so jelous of that stella. lol
  7. flechero, although thats a great idea, the reason i say pour cold is that although it will settle to the bottom of the bait, if its to hot then the powder will settle in your pouring cup before you pour it unless its constantly stirred
  8. that would work good, but pouring it would be real difficult. you would have to pour the plastic really cool because that tungsten powder is gonna wanna settle at the bottom of the bait. if the powder doesnt work just add more salt
  9. Matt and Keith made some great points. Although I will admit when I caught my 14lber thoughts of mounting that fish did cross my mind but I couldn't kill it. I do everything in my power to save gut hooked fish, so why kill the big one and do just the opposite. IMO there is just no reason to kill the fish. First it suffocates and dies, and after that it can't feel anything else, but you just nail it to a wall. Completely unnecesary when you could have released the fish, let it die of natural causes, and go get your lazy butt out there and take the extra time to make a fine replica.
  10. i missed the hottest part of the fall pattern due to work, but for me it was mainly rattletraps in 4ft of water. water temps ranged from 60-50
  11. my trips since school started have probably averaged from 2-3 hours each

lol. avid, no offense taken. it didnt sound that way at all to me. great idea on the color coded shots. as for the other things... 1) runny nosed....???? 2) pimple faced...correct but working on it...im using proactiv but i sure dont have the same results as jessica simpson

get the small rubberbands used for braces, cut them so they aren't connected and tie it right below the shot, clip the tag ends and it stays on perfectly.

i get the water gremlin bull-shots. there bullet weight shaped so they come through veggies real nice. water gremlins are marked with fractions rather than numbers. i throw the 1/32 and 1/64. hope this helps in what your looking for
  15. although sick, i love sqaushing the camel and i love how the camel is considered a terrorist
  16. yo-zuri rattl n vibe in baby bass and spro aruku shad in perch.
  17. I think it would be awesome to have x-mas with my family this year but unfortunately its not possible because of my work schedule. That would be numero uno on my list. As far as gifts go: money lowrance x102c Diawa pixy or alphas Ito split grip g-blank rods
  18. Although I do have lures that usually never let me down, most of my confidence are in the areas I fish. There are some places that I just know I'm gonna get a fish on that cast because I have caught them there before. I try to establish a confidence spot on each lake I have tournaments on.

I feel for ya avid. Holidays without my dad here just aren't the same as they were. Keep your head up. What the mudster said was awesome and right on.
  20. If I had to pick one then I would take a DT-10 in bluegill
  21. Just out of curiosity, why do you think that? Feel free to PM if you don't want the masses to see it I have experienced TONS of problems with the old curado. I had a worm gear go bad right out of the box, then on the replacement, the reel was so rough when you reeled it in and was extremely noisy on the cast. That one was 100$ So with the new one they gave it a silver paint job then they added a bearing or two and they added a few little do-dads and they charge another hundred for it. IMO rip off for a very unsmooth reel. Just my opinion
  22. In the most recent bassmaster there is a guide about new lures coming. One of them emits a red laser. Im wondering how that light works in murky water.
  23. Definately the RevoSTX. The curado sucks IMO. I know im gonna get bashed BAAAADDDDD for that one
  24. Zoom tiny flukes in shad colors
  25. mudster, got it in the mail last night. THANKS!!!
