Instructional Fishing DVDs
chuck woolery has a bait on the market. its a jointed crankbait. the unique thing about it is that im pretty sure it has a pull string (like one of those wind up toys that you used to have when you were little) you pull the string and cast it out.....and it actually vibrates. lol my mom got me one off of qvc a couple years ago lol....i never used it though.

Reality
hey guys, i would just like an idea like what percentage of bass professionals actually make a living off of just fishing (guiding, tourneys, videos, whatever....), without having another job. i know in the musky world that number is very very low and only includes the very top tier of anglers. but, there is a lot more money in bass fishing. thanks

Confused
ive always based my color selection on the weather rather than water clarity, since there arent too many "clear" water bodies of water in this area. clear/high skies, ill go with dark, natural colors. overcast days ill go with brighter colors for contrast. ive always done this for other species (muskies), but not quite sure if this philosophy is the right way to go for bass?

The solunar table
Jim Martis Coal City, Illinois: Rick, Does influence of the Solunar Tables affect your stategies during the course of a tournament or do you disregard them as a non-factor? Rick Clunn: (1:30 PM ET ) there's two approaches to fishing: 1. a complete intellectual approach, in which the solunar aspect DOES play a part; and 2. an approach where you put your mind and body in tune with your natural surroundings, which is the approach I take. So, the simple answer is: Yes, solunar phases play a part in fishing success -- particularly in stable conditions -- but there are other aspects that usually play a larger role. Rick Clunn: (1:32 PM ET ) And another thought. The problem I had with that approach is that it limits your enthusiasm for fishing to that specific time. And there are other ways to influence a bass to strike other than when he wants feed.

The solunar table
not sure if they have one on this site, but the one on the infisherman site tells you the best days and times. you can use the solunar table as a model, but dont depend solely on that.

Great Site!
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and luckily stumbled across this site while goofing off at work. This is a great site!! I am mainly a musky angler, but consider myself pretty decent for most species. I just started bass fishing seriously and joined a club a couple months ago. So I will definitely be asking lots of questions. Oh, I'm in Pittsburgh, Pa. -Mike
