  1. ok say im tossing spinnerbaits up on the flats where bass are chasing shad. what kind of blades would be your first choice? colorado to slow it down, indiana, or burning willows?
  2. pretty sure she means northern pike (pickerel being a canadian term). theyre definitely in there, ive been to the bay of quinte before.
  3. for those of you that pour soft plastics, what is the biggest pot you can find and from where? is there a company that makes molds where you can make like 10 baits at a time (without getting custom molds made)?

  5. i have fished the susquehanna about a dozen times or so. i always did pretty good with size and numbers. i have fished the st. lawrence once. any great lakes waters are gonna produce HOGS.
  6. ive never been with one, but i wouldnt mind if he did. i have guided and been on guided musky trips and the guide almost has to fish. so i am used to it. therefore i would not have a problem, unless they were catching fish and i wasnt.

  8. you gotta go with an offset hook and i like the gap to be 2 - 3 times the width of the lizard.
  9. I use 20# flouro (not really "heavy" cover up here in the north). a longer rod may get you a couple extra feet too. i use a 7'10 flippin stick.

  12. well when im out by myself or with a friend or something i will usually take a musky rod or two along with me. this has happened to me before, someone invading my area. when this happens i will take out my 10" 6.8 oz top water with 5/0 trebles and start whipping it at em! needless to say, they get the heck outta there real quick. this technique usually gets em to leave within a minute lol!

  16. only places i know of where bass could be affected by commercial fisherman would be Minnesota and Wisconsin, and maybe the dakotas or UP Michigan. d**n gill nets!!! i always practice CPR on all species, except in tourneys and for the occasional walleye shore lunch mmmmmmmm!

  18. well, over the last 4 or 5 years, bass fishing has grown a great deal in western pennsylvania. a lot more young people are getting involved. i know most of the clubs around here are getting involved in the community with the lend a rod and take a kid fishing programs, which in turn, is getting more and more people involved in bass fishing.

  20. from my musky fishing experience ive learned to always carry hook cutters so i try to always snip the hook if i can reach it.
