  1. Was it the DI model or just the 597 HD?
  2. Hey everybody, I've been looking to get a saltwater reel for my trip to the Indian River in Florida in October. I've gotten it narrowed down to the Revo Inshore and the Zillion Coastal. The reel will be used for inshore/freshwater fishing. Leaning more towards the Revo at the moment because of the drag. Just wandering if anyone has used both and which one you would prefer? Thanks in advance.
  3. My new Alumacraft V-hull has a front deck just like that last photo. Works great.
  4. Thanks for all the info everybody. I've browsed alot of covers over the past week or so. I've thought about getting one of those custom made snap-on covers. Seems like it would do the trick and maybe not scuff the hull up.
  5. Boat is 16'6 long and 73" wide. I'll make sure to avoid that one if it was that crappy lol.
  6. Hey everybody, I'm looking to get a cover for my new aluminum rig. I would prefer to have one that is trailerable. I was wandering what kind of covers you have used/owned/prefer. Also wandering if there are any that I should stay away from. Looking for one that is durable and to keep rain out for the most part until I get my new shed finished. All help is appreciated.
  7. I really like the Roboworm Zipper shakin worms.
  8. Hey everybody, I've been stewing about on-board charging for some time now. The way my aluminum boat is set-up, my cranking battery is in the rear of the boat and my trolling batteries are in the bow of the boat under the front deck. I would like to install one of the new minn-kota digital on-board chargers to keep from having to remove batteries all the time to charge them. Do you think it would be easier to mount the charger in the bow with the 2 trolling batteries, and just buy the extension cables from MK to run to the back of the boat for my cranking battery? Or would it be easier to just use the on-board for the trolling batteries and use a portable for the cranking battery? I'm sure I'm thinking too much into this whole thing and there's a simple solution, but I figure you guys have dealt with this stuff more than I have since I have little experience with it lol. All help is greatly appreciated. Here is the floor plan of the boat.
  9. Thanks for the info, the 570 is in the mail!
  10. Hey everybody, I'm looking to buy a Humminbird 570 DI for the bow of my aluminum boat. I've been reading alot about mounting transducers to trolling motors. I was wandering if I would be able to mount the transducer for this unit to my MK edge trolling motor without alot of interference? I don't know very much about mounting of transducers and I figured somebody out there would know. All help greatly appreciated in advance.
  11. Thanks for all the info fellas. Hopefully this year I'll catch one big enough for a replica.
  12. I know there was a thread here at one point and time about replica mounts a while back, but I can't find it after searching for the past 30 minutes. Just wandering if you all could reccomend a good place to get fish replicas done. Hopefully this year I'll catch one big enough to get one lol.

  17. Thanks for the help everybody. Looks like its a love/hate thing for the Little John lol. I'll pick up a few and try them out. If I don't seem to like them, I'll just sell them on here. Thanks again.
  18. Just wandering how many of you have used the Spro Little John series crankbaits? If so, what do/did you think about them? Thinking about buying some soon.

  21. I've been in this toss up as well. Been looking at them for a while now. They both seem to be well made. I'm pretty much set on the triton. I'm going tomorrow to see if the dealer has the new Triton Storm 16PF. May be able to crappie fish with it as well. http://www.tritonaluminum.com/showroom/multi-species-boats/16-storm-pf.php
  22. Here's what I picked up at BPS Saturday. Bought more cranks at Academy sports that I will post up later. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.
