  2. Hey fellas, I'm wanting to give throwing frogs a try. I have purchased some frogs to try, (Stanley ribbit frogs, and zoom horny toads). Now I need the rod, reel, and line. I'm not looking to spend alot on this due to it just being a try-out. Maybe $100 in the rod/reel. Is braid really necessary to throw these type frogs, or can I use my 12 yo-zuri hybrid? If it is possible to build a frog setup for $100 excluding line, what would you reccommend? I would like to keep the rod 7' and under due to it being used bank fishing. All help is greatly appreciated.
  3. Anybody using them? If so are they worth getting or are they just a gimmick? Thanks.
  4. All of mine have been fine. Currently have around 25 of them.

  6. I think this is what you're looking for. The purpose I think is for better sensitivity. Exposed blank reel seat is where part of the rod blank is exposed through the under side of the reel seat.
  7. I've been using them for about a month now with good results. They seem to be pretty strong and sharp.
  8. I just got some fat crank 30's in today. Can't wait to use em.
  9. Can anybody tell me how old these things are, and what a bait so small was used for? I was digging through an old tackle box that my grampa left me years ago and ran up on these, some old Rapala Original Floaters, and some things called a Whopper Stopper? No pics of the rapala's and whopper stoppers yet. Thanks for any help.
  10. I'd like to know as well. Somebody hit me up with this place lol.
  11. I have the 580 man-o-war's in blue mirror. You will like them.
  12. Any word on when the spartanburg store will have the bluegill and shellcracker cranks? I've been everyday for the last week with no luck finding em. If the store here is any indication, they didn't have much on the shelf when I went Friday. They had some carts with boxes in them, which I assumed was merchandise they were going to put out. We had the same empty shelves friday. Went over this morning and they have the new colors in. Got almost 1 of each bait in the new colors. Somebody needs to get the monkey off my back.
  13. Best way I can tell you is to put them on and look at your cell phone screen or ipod screen. if they are polarized the screen will look like it's broken. Rotate the device around in your hand and you should see it change. It sounds weird but it's how I found out lol.

  15. 5" Senko works like a charm.
  16. Well I mounted one of my new Curado's on my 6'6 MH/F allstar platinum rod. I'm now in need for a rod for my other Curado. I was wandering which rod can I get that will match up good with the Curado. I'm looking for something to use mainly as an all purpose rod and in the $100-$150 range. Thanks.

  20. Went to Academy today and saw these. The manager said they just got them in yesterday. They look pretty good for under $4. Hooks are very sharp and include trailer hook. Sorry for the crappy photos, my digi camera is broke so I had to use the phone to take pics.
  21. Well I got my Curado's in today and I've noticed they're pretty much covered with oil. I take it that they have been over-oiled from the factory lol. My question is should I take the reels apart, clean, and re-oil them? If so, does anyone have directions on how to do this, and what all needs to be oiled? I haven't taken a baitcaster apart before to service them. Thanks.
  22. I'm in the Spartanburg/Greenville area.
  23. 10-4! Just got done ordering it also. Thanks again everybody!
  24. Hmmm... didn't think about line. I'll do that now. Thanks again.
