  1. You guys are on it. Nice group of fish there. Hope you slay 'em today!
  2. Nice solid Redfish! I haven't experienced anything inshore that fights like a Redfish. How long did it take to bring that one in?
  3. That boat is coming along nicely. I am looking forward to seeing your work on the deck.
  4. This was not the clearest pic because I had to snap it quickly. We were whale watching in Puget Sound when this Orca surfaced.
  5. That is a nice fat fish! HCR is on my list of reservoirs to hit but I haven't been there yet.
  6. Here's a list of pros/cons of a cover versus a tarp, which is by no means exhaustive but it is a start. Pros Should be more waterproof than a tarp Fits the boat better so the wind can't get under it as easily and rip or pull on it Better fit results in less dust and pine needles getting under the cover and on the boat Custom fit cover performs all of the above and can also be trailered Cons More expensive Costlier to replace
  7. Congratulations on the new DD PB and welcome to BR!
  8. Nice pics! The big one is a beast for sure.
  9. Female Bighorn Sheep near Apikuni Falls in Glacier National Park.
  10. Congratulations on your first of many bass, I am sure.
  11. Congratulations on the PB!
  12. I like your signature too.
  13. What a beast! That's the biggest 10.9 ounce bass I have ever seen.
  14. Otter Slough, a Southeast Missouri MDC conservation area, in January. Counts for snow geese in the winter have exceeded 250,000 at this area.
  15. Congrats on the new boat, Jim (@jbmaine).
  16. That last bass is quite a chunky specimen. Excellent fish!
  17. When they do fire up, you appear to be very effective and efficient at catching what is available.
  18. Like everyone else, if I had to pick one day it would be Friday though I wouldn't count out Thursday or Saturday before the front either if I had the time. A few days of a stable weather pattern is a rule of thumb for good fishing and pre-frontal conditions should be optimum. As Gundog mentioned, Saturday could be a good day, and possibly one of the best as well. If the front comes in later on Saturday all hours before that should be considered.
  19. The monthly winter deer conference in my backyard.
  20. I didn't read anything derogatory in your comments, Paul, and I agree with your sentiments. I just meant that I never thought about using a screen name to hide behind on any forum I joined. I have even joined some forums that required your screen name to be something other than your real name. So, I just didn't think of it as anything other than a catchy name to use. Often, I have signed my actual name - Von Guttenberg Heffenfeffer - to correspondence with individuals.
  21. The bass have left the lake and are down at the local bar doing shots. My apologies for not being helpful but I just couldn't resist, not to mention that the posts above pretty well covered it.
  22. Hmmm . . . . never thought about that when I joined. By the time I started on this forum honesty was always a necessity for me. It didn't matter if my screen name wasn't my name.
  23. That girl's got some length on her, Catt. Nice work!
  24. Another nature pic from the mountains around Mt Rainier in Washington. It kind of reminds me of the weather we had yesterday.
  25. I'm glad your money situation is solid. I hope that allows you to enjoy the time you now have to spend the way you want to. My wife is retired and I will be retired fairly soon. We did not have any disabilities play into any of our decisions so we should count our blessings. I am happy for you with the new boat purchase. Post a pic when you have it in hand.
