Your Best Day Ever?
My "Best Day Ever" was back in September of this year at Shearon Harris lake in North Carolina. Me and my dad got to the lake at about 6:45 a.m. and we took off to a cove that had a matted grass point and I started throwing a Lucky Craft G-Splash popper. About my third cast into the day, a see a HUGE blowup on my G-Splash and its my new PB, a 6-7 lber. Although it definetly wasn't a numbers day (that was the only fish I caught) it was my "Best Day Ever".

Quick Question About Navionics Mapping Chips
OK thanks to all of you!!!! The reason I ask is because I might get one to use on my dad's GPS and when I get my own boat I would like to use it on my GPS.

New for 2009
Its not really a "new" rig, but I really have gotten to use the C-rig a lot this year and now I have a ton of confidence in it.

"Winterizing" Motor
All my dad does to our boat is put some Sta-Bil in it and keeps the motor trimmed down so water drains out and water doesn't get in it.

shaky head assistance
My favorite shakey head set-up is a Buckeye Lures Spot Remover in color black. The size I use most often is 1/4 oz. The line I have currently on my shakey head set-up is 8 lb. Berkley Vanish Flourocarbon. I will be switching over to Berkley Trilene 100% Flourocarbon because a lot of people seem to prefer it over Vanish. My rig is a 7' M Shimano Compre spinning rod with a Diawa Cygnus spinning reel. I am looking to upgrade that reel pretty soon. My favorite worms are Kut tails, Senkos, and Trick and Finesse worms.

Soft Plastic Swimbaits??
Try the Netbait BK swimbait. You might be surprised.

Top Water Setup
6'6" M XF Quantum Tencity rod and a 6.3:1 gear ratio Quantum Tencity casting reel. For line, I prefer 12 lb. Sufix Elite.

I had Hawg for Thanksgiving...
WTG!!!!!! Hope you catch many more like that.

Your favorite SMALL Jig&Pig combo?
A good one for me is a Jewel 5/16 oz. Eakins' jig, trailed with a tiny or baby size Paca Craw.

Paca Craw
I like to use them on a Spot Remover shakey head, a regular Texas-rig, and use them as a jig trailer.

Who makes decent wallets?
My parents got me a UNC themed Fossil wallet for christmas last year. It cost them about $50.00 (I saw the same wallet at another store thats how I know the price). Here's a picture of it:

best plastics for dropshotting?
Reaction Innovations 4.5" Flirt worm, Berkley Hand-Poured Curly Tail worm, Yamamoto 4" Kut Tail worm, and Zoom Finesse and Trick worms.

topwater
I use Sammies, G-Splashs, and T-Splashs when ever it is cloudy outside. I have the most confidence in the G-Splash so I will usually pick it up first no matter if I am fishing in a large area of water or a tight spot. I like to use them a ton around docks and rip-rap. Just an FYI, if those clouds turn into rain clouds the bite "should" be even better.

Carolina Rig Reel
I suggest using a high gear ratio because if you get bit while you holding your rod at the 12 O'clock position you can reel up the slack very quickly to get a better hookset and catch more fish. My C-rig reel is a Quantum Burst in 7.0:1 gear ratio.

Your favorite small 2-4" finesse soft plastics for a tough bite
For those situations I like a 4" Yamamoto Kut Tail worm fished on shakey head or dropshot.

Frogs (interesting)
Yep, somebody posted about those about a month ago. Everybody seemed to like them if I remember correctly.

what do you like about bass fishing
I like not catching fish. It makes you want to get through the next week of school and see if you have what it takes to catch a fish this time.

Louisiana fishing - Redfish stole the show this day- they could not resist the H2o crank
What a beautiful Redfish!!!!! BTW, I could use some of that "final product" right about now.

Might Become a B-ball Fan
Yeah I was hoping Kansas would lose that game. It would have moved the Tarheels up in the polls.
-
the best results
Give a Lucky Craft G-Splash and a cloudy day and I got more confidence than KVD and his Sexy Shad color.

Anyone else battle with these fish?
Wow those almost look like really big Crappie!! Good fish though.

best lure when bass are boiling
There a lot that will probably work pretty good, but the ones I reach for first in that situation are jerkbaits and Super Flukes.
